So I went ahead and cleaned the throttle body...

A lot of issues seemed to be solved at first the idle was shaky and bad, but after about 3-4...

You can change it.
In my opinion new fluid is always better than old dirty fluid.
Just make sure the level is right when you add it.

If it's only pulling one direction, it sounds like an alignment issue to me.

If it happens at a consistent speed, I'd say it's the alignment wasn't done correctly. Say 40-60 MPH cruise control...
