Did you check the gap on each yourself and torque the plugs to spec? Gap is 0.043 (3.0) or 0.044 (3.5) and torque spec is 14-22 ft/lbs. If the issue wasn't there before the plug change, chances are...

You can fit the 6th gen CAI's easy if you follow the battery relocate instructions around here. Search for "true cai" or something like that.

But, you're better off with a good sri and filter....
