BTW, my flat spot is only at absolute full throttle when the engine is torquing to the max. Back off just a bit, and I'm flying like a raped ape (like all 4th gen Maxima's should.... :-) ).

I'm really hesitant to unplug the ECU harness for fear of causing more problems, as this car has 239,000+ miles on it. Am I being overly cautious? I DID check the 5v+ signal to TPS.......
