Really sounds like the ignition switch. Pull the switch out of the back of the lock cylinder, and with the key in the lock cylinder (if you have the transponder key) turn the ignition switch manually...

It doesn't "need" premium gas. But it does run a little better since it was designed for higher compression.

Higher compression = may cause predetonation with lower octane gas = may cause knock....
