You are right ... it doesn't have to be bled, but they did it because they wanted to make sure that everything was fine with the hydraulic system.

I'm maybe pressing the brake pedal a little less than halfway ... definitively not slamming the brakes on the highway ... lmao. I haven't experienced any brake performance loss at all.
