if the fan motor is not working the fan wouldnt work just replace the fan motor cheap and easy fix.

i finally got rid of the nasty pining between 1500 2000 rpm on my 2003 gle.I couldnt believe it but lucas 3x s 108 octane.That stuff is magic.

As far as the intake its on top of the motor but the knock sensor is at the bottom and in order to get to it you have to take the intake off, not something for a novice.

my bad found out your car has swirl intake its different than a 1995 have to take the lower intake out. That requires someone with mechanic experience
