Still have the other 1?

If you do and it's tested and works (i.e. the mast goes up and down, I'm a moron who has never been able to successfully put a new mast), let me know.

Well....

Actually the specific questions I asked aren't found by searching. No one has ever told me why a O2 sensor code would show up for 3 months (being cleared a few times along the way) and then just go...

Rough riding (occasional), stalling, etc.

Howdy all.

So A few month ago got a job where I have to drive about an hour a day in stop-and-go city traffic (yea!!!). So its no surprise that issues are creeping up in a 16+ year-old Maxima....

Yeah

The tools and convenience factor kills me (though my tool collection has expanded in recent years). I'm willing to tackle most things if I go in from the top and think it will actually save me...

In Philly and have a similar issue

But I'm pretty sure mine is an O2 sensor since I have a P0130 code.

Does it happena t all times (cold engine, warm engine, stopped on flat surface vs on incline/decline, etc)

You might want...

I had a similar thing

But fumes were coming in through heater when engine cold. Was told by many that it could be cracked hoses since the hoses expand when warm the smell then goes away.

Your situation is a little...

Oh I live up north

In Philly. Snow on the ground, its cold, i'm an idiot, I park on street and have no where to work on a car, etc.

And its not something I'd probably enjoy given all this. Car is a 1995 and I'm...

Hypothetically, so long as the got it right

Autozone wouldn't clear the codes for you? Then you could drive around and if they don't come back you know you're good. And it should take less than 50 miles for the codes to re-appear in most cases...

Thanks all

Still haven't gotten to this, but at some point I expect an unusually warm day here in Philly to take some time and look at this. Initial cursory inspection no gaping cracks were seen. I just need...

Yeah its not a spill

Most of the old posts in the forum talk of cracked hoses and that when cold the cracks show but when the hoses warm they expand and "seal" the cracks. This sounds like my issue as it seems to go...

My $$$ is on ECTS

And isn't there another check for a bad MAF (i.e. RPM's cant go above 2500 or something) so that's another check. If the stalling only happens after it is warmed up and seems to happen at stop signs...

Gas fumes when heater is on

So I've read quite a few posts on here about the hoses and such being the culprit, but just want to get 2nd opinions on this.

Last week had my car in for a few things and did one of those fuel...

Good to know

I'm pretty sure ABS is a secondary issue but I always start of with grand dreams and then work backwards to what's feasible/affordable.

For instance, I know I have a relatively bald front tire...

Hmmm

That's a lot of different codes/issues.

Its kind of odd that 4 codes went away when you plugged in 2 sensors, but I've seen stranger things happen. I know nothing of speedometer and odometer...

LOL

Oh I wasn't driving aggressively. Didn't even crack a plastic bumper for that matter.

I don't think 85K miles synchs up well with what I'm driving. Mine has to ahve double to triple those miles...

ABS on a 1995

Howdy all.

I recently got a new job where I have to drive to work in mucho stop-and-go traffic. In today's mild rain I accidentally ran into the back of someone at about 2 mph but it got me to...

Check your coolant levels

Monty280, check your coolant levels. if they are fine, then I'd expect some coolant to at least be seen when you remove the sensor. To me just a few drops came out but you should see it sitting...

LOL

Put the Airbox, hoses and connectors all back on this morning so I could spray some carb cleaner in to try and find vacuum leak. Lo and behold the high revving is gone...in fact it barely catches at...

So...

Took off the Airbox tonight, and checked the Throttle body. It didn't look like it was being held open with the engine off. It got dark so I didn't get to do too much else.

Will need to check...
