I do like those Atom's. There is a huge price increase from the supercharged 4cyl to the V8. I would prefer the 4cyl, and put a smaller pulley and/or larger sized supercharger on it.

Ha well you'd still have to prefer a 52K price tag:

http://www.arielatom.com/specs/atom-3-specs

I don't think it is road legal though, I read about it in a magazine when the car first came out

Atoms are street legal, and I agree about the supercharged 4-banger version. That's plenty of torque for me, and from what the video says the 4 handles better than the 8

The thing looks like an adult go-kart done right

Not sure it handles better, and there isnt a track i would see the 4 beating the V8 on. its literally that quick.

+1 There is always be a spot in my garage for one of these cars. I'll just have to wait until the kids get out of college to own one.

I believe the Atom's V-8 is two motorcycle engines that were "fused" together. It's quite an exotic engine, and probably why there is such a big jump in price from the 4 cylinder Atom. At least with the Atom's Honda 4 cylinder engine, you could easily get parts and tune up's done to it with a simple trip down to your local auto parts store.

It's two Hayabusa heads on a V8 block that Ariel had commissioned.

Yep, that sounds expensive!

Personally, it would be cool to see a Ferrari V8 in the chassis of an Atom.

Man...that thing is fast enough. Power to weight ratio is ignorant! You don't need bigger engines or more boost. You see what that thing did to his face!! Yall have death wishes up in here...LOL. Just strap a jet engine on the back of the Atom and there you have it.....

Yes, seriously. I'm sure the original Atom is sufficient enough, especially when you hit that K20 VTEC boiii
