2003 G35 sedan problem

Hey guys, my girlfriend's automatic G35 sedan is throwing a p0442 code, which is evap related. We replaced the fuel cap, but that did nothing as i suspected. The car is also getting no more than 13mpg in mixed driving. No heavy foot, just normal everyday driving. Power seems completely fine. I looked at all the hoses, and they seem fine as far as i can tell, but i'm sure any tiny leak in a corner somewhere can throw a code, so i'm wondering if there is a common spot to look at.

I'd appreciate the help. Getting 13mpg is quite expensive!

how long did u give the car to reset after you replaced the cap? my G took about a week after the attendant put the cap on loose..as far as mpg??

I wouldnt think a pinhole in a hose wld cause that much decrease in mpg?

I actually reset the ECU right after replacing the cap. It's an autozone cap, not a genuine Infiniti cap. I wouldn't think that would matter much, but it might. The CEL isn't really a PITA, just the 13mpg in a car that should be getting 20+.

I've done everything on my maxima from suspension to ecu to replacing the engine and rewiring the whole thing, but I just have no clue where to even start looking. I'm close to taking it to Infiniti.
