hey guys...as u guys know i recently sold my camaro not too long ago and i already bought another car...its a 93 Cady STS north star 4.6L engine rated at 300hp..134k Miles and i got it for only $1200 CDN...i got lucky again lol....any ups and down i should know about this car? i m gonna keep this car for a good long time now....i just got done all fluids...and its BONE stock....any performance or reliability upgrades? i need as much info i can get about this car thanks
Did you not do any research before you bought it? What to look for? I would've done this research before buying.....
lol
Ummm, Cadillac in the 90s... Wow where should I begin? LOL
Have fun working on that engine. It is a dream of an engine while it's running. When you have to replace the water pump... oooh boi LOL (dont ask how I know of those damn northstar engines. They surely didnt think of people PERHAPS at some point things would need replacing lol.
Electrical nightmare. I've had to deal with a 95 DeVille and a 93 Fleetwood (I think that was the year, it was a whiiiile ago). You wanna talk about having your headlights on in order for the fuel pump to get power? (WITHOUT EVER TOUCHING THE WIRING, IT JUST HAPPENED LOL!). The car has like 80 computers for random crap (of course thats an exaggerated figure, but it does have multiple computers, and with that comes A LOT of wiring to make for a very complex body electrical system). Basically if you ever get a short, sell the car LOL. It's not worth going through the hassle of tracking it down. But this is my personal opinion, since I hate doing electrical work. If you are good at it and you are patient, I dont see the problem lol.
Overall it really is a great car man dont get me wrong. The problem is that when things go bad on Cadillacs of those years, they go bad big lol.
Take this as fair warning! Sell t for profit while you can LOL. Give it a nice wax and detail the interior, and sell it! SAVE YOURSELF!!!!

i know u r right...there is so much electrical in this car that its a night mare if there will be any electircal problem but there isnt one yet tho....and car is running perfect....i just wanted to know if there are any performance or reliability upgrades for this car i should know of? like opti on the Camaro....i know if i goggle it i m gonna end up with something but i wanna know from guys who have done mods to this caddy and how fast these cars can be and who r the main competitors to these cars...thanks
Good thing you only paid $1200 because cars have have horrendous reliability.
As for performance ungrades, they're far and few between.

guys....i have had not experience with caddies as much yet but every car has its pros and cons....u keep it nice and it doesn't give u as many problems.....it all happens cuz ppl dont care about stuff in cars....i m driving it now lets see i have installed new cat in it new spark plugs and it has a bad o2 sensor...gonna replace that and lets see how better it is on the gas....and i dont mind the DOHC NORTH STAR 300hp...plus i m an apprentice student so i would like to work on it more as it goes bad...and as far for selling...i will see if i wanna keep this or not after fixing it.....
