Anybody know if it is possible to swap a VQ35 or even a VQ30 into a 1996 Infiniti G20. I know anything can go into anything with mods, but I am wondering about a straight swap. I found one local with a blown headgasket for $500. Downfall is car is an automatic.

i assume its gonna be pretty similar to swapping it into a Sentra, which many people do. i dont know what it entails, but theres probably some work to be done.

That is what I thought. And there are quite a few Sentra's with the swap. And then like Jeff92 says, I could just do another SR20. But I think with a v6 it will stand out more.

I would do some research in the Sentra SE-R swapped with a VQ in it. Since the SE-R has an SR20 and so does the G20, I would think the info would be basically the same.
However, it would be much easier to find a JDM Bluebird or Pulsar SR20DET. That engine is readily available, swaps directly and there is tons of information and mods about this swap.
I keep thinking about finding an SE-R and doing this swap, but haven't found the right one yet.
