High mileage for an LT1. Steer clear. Also LT1's are a PITA to work on as half the block is behind the firewall. Wait till you can get something with an LSx in it

137k isnt realy "High Mileage" for a 16 year old car
and the LS1 fbodies have the engine in the same location
all late model Fbodies are a pain to do engine work on, but it is nearly always worth the trouble

also i am speaking from personal experience when i said the lt1's are harder to work on than ls1's. Im not stating a fact. Have fun changing the plugs in it
I would pick it up and if the worst happens drop in a ls1/2/3 with a cam in it and be happy. I would pick it up with just that mentality for such a good price if the body/chassis is solid.
I would still be worried about the head work. No head work should ever need to be done on a well maintained engine.

the only problem with the car is the clutch...it needs a new clutch..other than that i drove it for a day and i didnt see any problem....body is solid and paint is new...

If it has had head repairs made its because it has over heated at one point (comon issue on LT1's if not maintained) and the head gasket blew.
it could have a tiny crack in the block just waiting to pop.
I would keep saving for a LS1 man..
Keep searchig bro.
porbably was a blown head gasket and thats why he had to pull the top end...?
bottom line is... I M NOT SURE... i m being double minded right now LOL....should i buy or i shouldnt buy...thats wat keep going on in my mind lol..i know i will have to put new clutch FOR SURE....and i m getting it for $3500 Canadian DOLLARS...still have a week to decide...i m 1st year apprentice and dont make much yet lol...
are you guys really serious? for 3500 even american dollars you could buy it sans a motor and still make out ok if the body is mint.buy the car and then save for a motor swap.... like many of the f-body guys do anyway

Try to find some used c5 vette wheels or something. ppl let them go for cheap .
i wouldnt even worry about the clutch untill you got rid of those rims.
Other then that the body looks like its in good shape for the year.
i know i dont like those rims either...i m gonna sell them asap plus i got the stock rims as well so i will throw them on for now on...and for the clutch, its really bad that it doesn't even wanna move in 1st gear---> torque less....and i will try to find some vette wheels if i could find other wise i will keep stock till i find some good muscle looking rims....and yes tail lights r the thing i hate the most in the car rite-now...if i find some i will put them on...other wise previous owner doesn't have them anymore.....
You shoulda 'd the guy after you bought it for even considering putting those rims on the car.
