ugh, i miss my 91 accordwagon EX so bad. it was the best of all worlds, great handling, great gas mileage, suprisingly good power from the f22 series motor and it was a steal back in 04 for 1200 when it was worth more than double that and was in great condition inside and out.
looked EXACTLY like this one. white with blue interior. 4speed automatic.
i agree they should really bring back the wagon, it just makes so much sense. the economy and handling of a car without the size and bad mileage of an suv. or the "rolloverability"..

Reason: spelling, pic url correction
Torgus I have owned 2 maximas and typically mod my cars to handle better and go faster....not cruise the mall and scare small children with it's body kit...
That one also saw the same fate as the Mazda6 wagon and got the Axe here in the states. 2007 i believe was the final year.. Now there's only the ridiculously tall and chunky outback left.

the Outback is just a Legacy with a lift so it can compete with light SUVs off-road....

lol off-road bwahahahahaha probably around 95 to 98% of suvs never ever go off road unless the driver drives on their grass a little while backing up or pulling in

true. i preffered the looks of the legacy wagon though, cleaner, not as chunky and sportier looking. the outback did sale alot more than the legacy though so it makes sense why the legacy got dropped. then again, any subaru is an extremely rare site where i live. we have one dealer and they still have a bunch of 07 models they are liquidating. lol no joke.

For the second time in several months, we've caught a development vehicle for an ALL-NEW Honda Accord-based crossover! This vehicle program has been rumored for quite a while now and these pics are the first proof the project has finally been green-lighted.
At first glance, this vehicle may look like nothing more than the European Honda Accord Tourer. Closer inspection reveals that is not the case. For starters, the U.S. market Honda Accord front end has been grafted onto the body. While most of the body on this mule is non-production, this front end may actually be close to the final design of the nose we see on the production CUV.
We can also see fender flares that have been tacked onto the body and covered with tape that matches the color of the paint. These flares indicate that the wheel track has been widened slightly. Looking directly behind the rear doors, it quickly becomes apparent that a few extra inches of sheet metal and glass have been added to the body, suggesting the final product will be a few inches longer than the current European Accord Tourer. This development vehicle is also riding higher than a standard Accord Tourer and actually resembles and Audi allroad in person.
Based on the Honda Accord chassis, this all-new crossover vehicle will start production in the 4th quarter of 2009 at the Marysville or East Liberty factory. The Accord CUV will slot in-between CR-V and Pilot and will look to do battle with Toyota's new Venza CUV.
Powertrains are not yet known, but the motors currently found in the USDM Accord seem like a likely bet. We observed this mule testing alongside an Acura RDX. We also noted this mule accelerated rather briskly, so the 2.3L, four-cylinder turbo motor from the RDX may have a chance of making it into the Accord CUV.
One thing we CAN say for sure about this vehicle is that AWD will be an option. A close look at photo #7 reveals that this prototype has a rear differential. More than likely, this means the car has Honda's VTM-4 AWD system.
"Latitude" is one name rumored for the badge on the back of this new CUV. Though that now seems less likely as Honda allowed that trademark to expire many months ago.
I wasn't talking about my car. And your current one isn't exactly a looker either. What's at hand here is this gross Honda Wagon. Thank you very much.
perhaps you should familiarize yourself with the use of the smilies and
they typically indicate sarcasm.....
But since you clearly don't understand that concept and want to try to take a shot at me, let me just agree with you that yes, my current car is actually quite ugly. And pretty much outperforms a 6th gen in every way. So what's your point?

I can't spare you from looking at an ugly car every time you walk into your driveway any more than I can spare myself from the same fate every time I walk into my driveway
and stupid USA-market crossover vehicle be damned....the Euro Accord wagon (aka TSX wagon) looks better either of our cars. Figures we don't get THAT version, we just get a lame Americanized bastard child with silly balloon tires and a lame "crossover" designation.
**** crossovers, give us sportwagons.

ok THAT I can agree on
As far as wagons though, A4 Avant is the bees knees as far as I'm concerned. And yep, I've seen police cars that look better than 6th gens
Alongside the Insight and ASIMO will be the introduction of the new 180PS derivative of the acclaimed Honda i-DTEC diesel engine. This new higher-power variant produces 180 PS at 4000 rpm, a 30 PS increase over the standard i-DTEC engine with the peak power coming at the same rpm. Torque has also increased 30 Nm to 380 Nm at 2000 rpm.
The enhanced engine will be fitted to the Accord in a new Type-S variant. As well as the significant increase in power this new model will gain new lower bumper sections, front chin spoiler, sill extensions, smoke chrome finished grille. The new model will be available in two new paint colours with White Pearl and Basque Red joining the current colour line up.
Complimenting this suite of cosmetic changes will be clear indicator covers to further distinguish the new Type-S model. In addition, this model will be equipped with a new design of 18" alloy wheels, giving the Type-S a more sporting stance.
The new engine retains its 2.2 litre capacity and gains its additional power with a revised turbo-charger housing, enlarged intercooler, stronger con-rods and a revised cylinder head. These modifications release the full potential of the critically acclaimed i-DTEC engine, allowing it to deliver excellent usable performance and good fuel economy.
Performance, fuel economy and emissions data will be available once homologation is completed. The Type-S goes on sale in some European markets from this summer.
This is the long-rumored Honda hatchback/crossover/wagon thing. As you can see, it was shot by one Mr. M. Balisky, apparently while he was vacationing in the Great Smoky Mountains, one of America's most popular national parks.
We're guessing it won't be quite so popular with Honda engineers from now on, as they've done a pretty good job of keeping the lid on this new model up to this point. Most speculation points to a fall debut for this variation of the Accord, but as usual Honda is saying much for now.
that's freaking horrible-looking. Stupid Honda/Acura designers fail miserably these days. just bring the straight wagon over here, not that gay lookin hatchback thing...
We heard it was coming, but we didn't think it would look quite like this. This 2010 Honda Accord hatch, or Crosshatch, or whatever it's going to be called was spotted on a trip through Las Vegas.
It was probably on its way to Death Valley for some last minute hot weather testing before it goes on sale later this year. No doubt designed to take on the Toyota Venza in the "cool wagon" category, this Accord hatchback is more carlike than even the Venza. Fine if that's what you're into, but we kind of prefer the real Accord wagon that Europe gets. We'll see how this version goes over in the States soon enough.
