replaced by the Rogue. Should have brought this to the US instead. For all the marketing Nissan has spent on the Rogue, I've seen exactly TWO on the roads EVER....

Really? There's tons of them here in State College. Oddly enough a lot of them are SL's with HIDs and all the bells and whistles. By contrast, I've only seen one new Murano. I wonder if optioned-out Rogues are cutting in on sales of the Murano here.
The Rogue can't come close to the CR-V or Escape or Rav4.....a few reasons:
1. "Rogue" is a stupid name for a vehicle that doesn't look scary or tough. I mean, the word "rogue" usually infers something bad....rogue wave....rogue criminal, etc. "Rogue" sounds cool to guys, but the vehicle is way too wuss for a dude to drive. And chicks probably don't want to drive a "rogue vehicle"
2. The three above still look like SUVs to some extent. The Rogue just looks like a jacked up econobox hatch IMO. All mini-SUVs are wuss, but you have to try and not make it LOOK wuss....
3. My in-laws were looking for a medium/smallish SUV recently. They went to Ford, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, and a couple other brands to browse. I asked them if they went to Nissan and they were not aware that Nissan makes a small SUVs....
That goes back to marketing. The Rogue commercial that's been playing here for months is the one with it in the little "city game" thing with the tilting board and holes. The commercial is cool. So cool that I had to see it about 10 times to remember what vehicle it was for. Marketing shoudl showcase the vehicle, not focus the viewer on other stuff (like the great CGI city in that one)....
3. As usual, Nissan is late to the game.

Also saw a GTR in the morning but couldn't get a pic of it.
It's hard to get a pic of the GT-R as cameras just aren't quick enough to capture the light before they accelerate and throw off the rotational axis of the earth. Typically you will only see GT-R pictures when they have been parked.

Well it was parked... on the back of a truck. Yes it was still going too fast to get a photo of it.
Negative... that one came from Sinaloa. A state in northwestern Mexico. The red thing on the plate is a tomato.. they grow a lot of those there (among other things )

I had a Rouge for a rental car in FL, was a S AWD model and it was a nice ride. CVT kinda pissed me off a bit but I didn't complain as it was much better than a Caliber- another car that has "tough" name to it with absolutely zero ballz.

Sorry for the quality somebody screwed with the settings on my camera and people kept trying to merge into me. So much for the no cell phone law, every single one of them had a farkin cell phone glued to their head.

yeap those are Sinaloa plates, the ones on the platina are baja california plates. Last time I was at the Tijuana dealership they had different nissan models that I never seen, like the nissan aprio and the nissan tida.

Most of those are mexican cars, like the ford lobo, the chevy chayenne, they still make the old VW buggies in Mexico... the xtrails are common, platina's are like chevy's aveo,
man, ya'll take wayyyyyyyyy too many pics while driving!
i guess most were in stop/go traffic, but still, not quite worth getting in a wreck for.
now if there's a hottie inside, plus its a nice ride, by all means...
Ehh... this is So Cal, practically anything behind the wheel goes. Trust me I have seen stuff people do behind the wheel that I wish could be unseen. Other stuff I want to see again and again and...
Just Mexico city, Ionicmax Used to have a 240sx with an sr20det with 3" exhaust, no catalyc converter and never got pulled down in Baja but the car had baja plates.

lol, a mexican x-trail with license plate from sinaloa or sonora or something, in Mexico u see a hundred every day, also they have a car called "Tsuru" its like a 3rd gen (1991-1994) sentra but with a redesign grill and clear headlights and mechanical downgrades to make it cheaper like non-power steering, u can get one for like 10K brand new lol!

Ok of that explains it. I was gonna say they must be pretty laxed since every Mexican bus I see has black **** pouring out of it and last time I went to TJ (Really guys what the hell is the draw there?) I almost passed out fromt he exhaust fumes.

Yea I remember reading about those, C&D or Motor Trend did an article on it. They basically went down there and rented one for a day to remember what it felt like. Then they hooned the thing into oblivion. To say the least it did pretty well.
