since you're asking for opinins, here's mine: that thing is HIDEOUS. Reminds me of the Aztek, which was the ugliest vehicle ever...
It could run 12s in the quarter and handle on rails and I would still not be caught dead driving it.

My opinion would be to steer clear from that, get a maxima instead (if you already have one a better one).

Ah, so I guess you're driving an ugly dog like that because it's a sleeper, right?
Under that minivan hood, you probably have an all-aluminum V12, ported heads, huge injectors, hot camshafts, stainless steel headers, two turbos running 10 pounds of boost, ECU re-map, stealth-mounted intercoolers, 99 octane gas, a built 6-speed transmission, lightweight clutch and flywheel, 4.11 12-bolt LSD rear, fully adjustable coilovers, frame bracing, about 1200rwhp, single digits in the quarter, right?

actually at first i wanted a toyota corolla xrs but then i wanted a hatchback/wagon and did not like the new matrix. then i saw the 09 vibe gt and it's basically the matrix's twin...same exact interior and engine just different skin. this car has everything i need/want in a car and should give me better mpg than what i'm getting with my maxima. most likely i'm getting white or black...it doesn't look THAT bad does it? lol i know the vibe is a domestic and i used to never want a domestic until i found out it was a toyota dressed as an american. i'll be buying a new car on my own for the first time without my parents help and the vibe fits my budget...it's about $21,000'ish for the one i want. it's cheaper than the toyota and has a longer warranty.
i don't really want a subie...although i did considered it while i was doing my search...but i don't need awd and it's sloow (regular 2.5L model). first i wanted a mazda3 hatchback or sedan, then changed my mind and wanted a vw jetta or golf, then to subie, then to corolla xrs, and now i found the vibe lol...i don't know...i'll see what i end up with end of the year

I had a 05 corolla xrs, it was a fun lil car with a 8000 rpm redline, but it was rather loud. The new one's look nice I just hope they fixed the noise issue. It got about 30 mpg avg

I reiterate, I cannot stress how hideous this car is. Look elsewhere--Mazda3 >>>> Vibe GT. Maybe a GTI or Civic Si?

mazdaspeed3 is a lot better looking, and definitely more powerful. the MkV GTI's are even a good choice. then again, it's your money so enjoy the new whip!

i wish i can afford the gti i can but i'm stretching it...plus insurance is a lot too =/ and yes mazdaspeed3 would be awsome but i don't know how to drive stick haha and i've test driven the regular mazda3 hatch and their a/c sucks...i need good a/c...i think in a way i am kind of glad people don't like this car...this means it'll be a rare car lol jk
edit: does this angle still look ugly?

the new corolla xrs is a lot quieter. the bigger 2.4L engine doesn't need to rev so high to get moving so it runs smoother and quieter. the new corollas also has an acoustic laminated windshield...i test drove the corolla xrs automatic and it was so quiet inside...that would have been the PERFECT car for me if it had independant rear suspension...still uses that damn torsion beam =/

dude dont listen to the pro nissan anti everything else crowd...you obviously arent planning on drag racing that car. I think it looks great..nice econo car that has a little bit of a sporty look.
im actually in the same boat as you, i want to get rid of my dads Grand caravan and get somethin smaller, good on gas, and has some utility left in it. i really dont want a small SUV so i was lookin at the new matrix, or even scion XB, and also the vibe GT so i can have a full size hatch too. I like the rabit/gti and the 3/mazdaspeed 3, but it seems like the hatch opening is rather small, and id like somethin which rides a little higher.
id hate to throw another "ugly" car into this thread but take a look at the hhr ss, they have the turbo ecotec plus an automatic available also(which is what id prefer for this car) and recently they were selling at a great price i think the auto i wanted was sticker'd at 22k equiped. If i had a good DP plus my trade i def would have grabbed it. im just going to wait a lil longer maybe end of year...did i mention 30mpg hwy????

albundy always has so many bright things to say...
all these fwd owners for some reason always brings up performance when they are talking about other people getting a car, yet they failed at performance because they have a fwd car.
buy what ever you like because no one is giving you money for the car. Take it from someone in the auto industy, the line b/w american/euro/asian has been blurred long ago. many of the pro nissan people you here yapping at you have either never owned an american car or anything aside from their maxima.
and no irish that thing you are building is as much of sports car as the jeep you drive :-)

I believe 1 person brought up performance and it appeared he was making a joke....and while the line may be blurred between all the different makes, most, not all end up being a burden on us in some way or another. besides the guy asked for opinions and opinions are what he should be getting
