Get RID of the 2002 Maxima???
I liked the car and its nice.. but ever since I bought it in November 2006 I've been kicking myself for buying a FWD car. I went from a '93 lowered S-10 to this?
Now after doing coilovers and some little things.. its very fun to drive but its just not me. I originally thought of keeping it, paying it off and driving it as long as possible. But now.. I hate the payments more and more and the desire to have something RWD is really becoming overwhelming. lol
Ideally I want to go back to a truck.. here are my thoughts.
1. Full size Chevy: ('80's-'99), 2wd, Std. cab, shortbed
2. Or another 1st gen S-10 w/ the same; 2wd, shortbed, Std. cab
Obviously the trucks HAVE to be 5speed and they WILL be lowered!
A more recent "fun" idea is a nice car is sitting in my hometown..'88 Mustang (GT i think).. but 5 speed and 20,000 miles. This would be a very nice ride... lowered obviously. And... if I get this I could also buy a cheaper S-10 for my snow driving excitement!!
What are some thoughts.. if this isn't too confusing. I know what i mean! lol

At least someone knows what they're talking about! I never got the V8 in mine as I wanted.. but that thing was soo fun in the snow. I could only imagine how much fun 1 would be w/ a small block on dry pavement!
A good friend has a 2nd gen w/ a 350 on baggs.. body-dropped to the doors! That thing is just sick...all laid out!

haha i had no clue they were FWD?
I decided I had to get rid of the truck..PA winters take their toll on metal.
I convinced myself to get a car:
- something fairly nice & newer
- something spacious as I'll be done w/ college soon
- something I could just drive and let it be... (guess I was lying to myself)
And im not so unhappy, per say, the car handles great w/ coilovers and has a fun amount of power.. but FWD just isn't me and I'm ready for something w/ a driveshaft!

If you wanted something to just drive you probably shouldn't have mod'ed anything on the max, just let it be.

If you like rwd so much then why was maxima on your list of choice? Could have gotten like a Crown Vic or something or a G. Crown Vic was actually on my list , but the interior was so crappy.

The only downside I've run into with FWD is torque steering, but thats only when I'm accelerating really fast... like the on-ramp to a highway (it's all fun though).

Still don't see the cool factor of lowering a pickup... maybe I'm getting old.

Torque steer sucks. You can't really have much fun in FWD either.. thats assuming you have some car control and appreciate RWD! It's just better all-around, in my opinion.

S-10 ftw. I CAN and AM paying for the loan. Just think i'd rather have smaller payments or none at all. Thanks for assuming though!

If its 2wd. And basically anything looks good lowered, to me anyway!
And if you're hauling **** in your "TrucK" ... the dummies with lifted trucks just have to lift everything higher to get it into a truck. Lowered=convenient

its like because you have a maxima you must want to keep it forever and not only that but every other car needs you might have nissan builds something you just need to buy.
if i was looking for a truck i would never buy a titan...never
