Looks like it may be goodbye

I love my maxima, but for a car thats almost 9 years old, with the arising problems one after another, i think it may be time to invest into a newer vehicle, possibly a 6th gen Max, or im also considering a few others, opinions would be appreciated, 2006 Maxima 6 speed, 2006 Sentra SE-R Spec-v, 2005 Saturn Redline supercharged, Altima SE-R , and possibly either a WRX or an SRT-4...any comments or opinions of these vehicles would be appreciated based upon knowledge of any of them and the problems they are "common" for.

You won't find an SRT-4 that hasn't been beat on hard...the last one made was 2005.

You could look into a WRX. Nice car, AWD- they're fun cars. Friend of mine had an STi modded, rated for 500 HP. Car was wicked fast. Overall, all the cars you've listed are fine choices for a new car. The best thing you should do, however, is find out what exactly you want. Do you want something with four doors? Is drive train a factor? FWD, RWD, AWD? Ect... There are a bunch of factors which will determine your next car purchase. Best bet would to narrow choices down, and try to test drive as many of them as possible. Then go from there.

dude I'm been looking for 05 and 06 Max 6 speeds too, not too many available in my area. I'm tempted by the Altima SER but I've upgraded from an 95 Altima 5 speed to a TL Type S, to an 03 Max 6 speed so I'm not about to revert to it even though it might be the cheapest V6 6 speed around.

Out of all your options, I'd say the WRX is the one I'd go for. Your list is very diverse, though...everything from econoboxes on steroids to an entry-level luxury car.

The srt-4 is outta the question, my girlfriend hates dodge LOL and the saturn is beat too, i mean supercharged is nice, but in a saturn with cheesy looking interior, i think not so now its down to wrx se-r another max, or the spec-v ive owned a spec-v before i had the max i was happy with it, but it had a headgasket problem when i got it, the max is good but my thing is i want something with some balls but also some class

You can get a V6 with 6 speed manual in the Infiniti G35 Sport, or if a coupe works for you, either the G37 Coupe Sport or the Honda Accord Coupe.

The redline interior is batter then the one found in a spec-v by far imho.

If it was me i would buy the wrx or try and find a used sti.

id go with the wrx (sometimes i wish i did lol) if fast and fun is what you are seeking. if you want a little more than a pocket rocket the se-r altima would be nice, esp in black. Its relatively fun and the interior is pretty nice. It is a little more grown up.

best of both worlds???....can you get into a legacy????? i def would have went with that if i found one in my price range but they were still a lil out there at the time.
