I actually did go out to buy diapers

and in the process ended up getting this beautiful Rogue SL.
Quick story: Wifey and I have a new baby, 2 months old. She's had an 06 Accord Coupe EX that she bought new Aug 2006. We've talked about trades or outright sell but no real ppl out there with real money. Anyway, I contacted a few dealership directly via Nissan's website and started negotiations online. Never really went anywhere. Was shopping at Costco when I got an email in my blackberry from one dealership about how they've tried been trying to reach me - anyway decided to stop by on the way home and boom - bought a rogue. They gave me a deal I couldnt refuse and the highest trade for the 06 Accord.

I actually like the Rogue a lot. I think it's a lot of value/features for the $. Free XM for 3m and a special $77/yr if we decide to keep it. Bluetooth w/the prem pkge pretty much sold my wife on the car. I know we've looked at the CR-V which my wife was crazy about but the honda dealers wouldnt budge on their set prices and the RAV. My wife couldnt stand the wheel cover on the back of the RAV so then we went to look at the Rogue. CR-V didnt offer b/t and RAV's options quickly ran it in the near 30K range

the rogue's aren't bad looking at all. my parent's friends bought one, a nice electric blue color. i sat outside looking at it and thought it would look sick with a nice drop, rims and a kit.

anyways, that's just me. enjoy your new ride and congrats on the family!

Thanks all, appreciate it. The Rogue was never my mind of car_that's until gas prices forced the_-shift priorities
-
The dealer bought the accord for $15K and the balance owed at $15.7. I have to admit it was in extremely good condition (showroom like) with 20K miles and a full year bumper2bumper mani's warranty left. FYI- I shopped the car around to a few dealership and some offered 14 to 16 but I needed a good combo of trade-in and price. The one dealer who offered 16 would only sell the new at MSRP

Btw,

I talked to Rocco over the phone, he's the internet sales manager but when I showed up at the dealership, I ended up speaking with a relatively new guy name Carlo. He's a young sales guy just learning the ropes, pretty efficient though. Great Neck Nissan is a 5m old dealership owned by the same people that owns Queens Nissan.
