Thought I'd share some Exige with the org

My friend just got one (regular 190hp exige), I only had to sit in that car with the engine off to really like it. You get through the doorsill and drop like 2 feet into the bucket seat.

But the thread was just to post a pic. Am I the only person who gets a hardon for the pictured car?

You know what would make that thing the extra bit better? An automatic transmission

I can tell. The windshield wiper is stuck in an awkward position. Would really annoy me if I had to drive that thing for extended periods.

i had alot of love for these cars but the lack of ps, the very very rough ride and the twitchy driving feel that comes with one. very nice pic, but i would probally take a c6 over one if I was buying it with my own cash

There's a guy here in Kansas City that races his Elise in Auto-x/road and on the drag strip. On street rubber, the car pulls 1.6-1.7 60 foots. It's obviously quite competitive in the auto-x and road courses. In the spring he installed a SC and the car is making another 60whp. In NA form, the car went 13.03@105mph. With SC, it's doing 12.4s@110mph.

He's quite a racing nut http://www.drjanestewart.com/darksol/showcase.html

i don't.
they are uncomfortable cars..least the older ones were(5-8 year old lotuses)
also i think they would be fun to have for a track but for a weekend car or dd useless.

I got to ride along with an instructor at NHMS in a street legal Exige. Also got to be in the drivers seat and see how the car felt. Once I wiggled my way into the car it was quite comfortable for me as a driver or a passenger. (6' 220 pounds)

That being said you can't be claustrophobic or being in one of these might bother you a bit. Braking before going into the bowl at NHMS at 110~120 MPH where I brake my Maxima at 80~90 MPH can be even more scary.
I think that was one of the few times I've ever gotten nervous riding along at a roadcourse. That and a C5 Z06 with shaved r-comps in the rain...

As far as street driving goes it's not made for it. Makes me wonder why they offer a "touring pack" as a option.
