I would, too, oddly enough. I like the idea behind the Viper, but it's almost too raw for me. The other two are great, they just seem like they require too much technology. I guess when you really look at it this is a comparo of two cars that do things the old fashioned way and two that do things the "new" way, and whichever floats your boat is what you would probably pick

wow, I was actually right.
I still wonder how, in a comparison of SUPERCARS, the GTR finishes first. Of all four it was the slowest in the 1/4, and they said it "floundered" on the road course.
So it won because it was the lowest-priced of the group?? I mean...to people buying cars in this price range, I don't think "lowest price" is part of the reasons that they pick a car..

it won because it had a back seat and a usable trunk or something?
i am shocked at the straight beat down that the arc put down upon the rest of the field. if dodge cared about the ring this car would do some serious damage on it

Yeah, I read the first two paragraphs of the GT-R segment and was like, "Why did it win again?"

What gets me is why there is so much discrepancy on the times of the GT-R's. This model couldn't get to 60 in less than 4 seconds, and was in the 12's for the 1/4. The other magazines are seeing 3.3 0-60 and as low as 11.6 for the 1/4 mile. Maybe it was detuned from the factory???

My thoughts exactly.
Kinda surprised the GTR won also. Truthfully if I had to choose between those 4 cars it would take a while to decide. I really dont know which one I would pick. I'll report back when I think about it more.

I'll take the GT2 or GT-R, mainly because I can actually fit in them both, the Zo6 is annoyingly small insides(and has a dreadful interior) and the Viper is even worse.
Also, the GT-R is the cheapest(before mark-up) of the group, the most interesting looking, and would probably be the #1 or 2 best daily driver.
Z06 fails due to it's interior, and having the same basic design since the C4, the Viper is a dreadful car anywhere but the track, and the GT2's $200K+ price tag makes the GT-R the winner to me.

+1
Can't speak on the Viper's roadhandling, but based on the comparison, I'd have the GT-R 1st, and if money clearly wasn't a factor, the GT2.

yeah, it's fishy that the GT-R won this "competition" even though it didn't seem to win any categories.
all of these test are fishy, though. It's all about who pays more for advertising. I guarantee that Nissan paid top dollar. Dodge and Chevy, probably not since they're broke. Porsche...probably not, since they don't need the publicity.

all this hype on the first version of the GT-R....Nissan has already said they will have a Nismo elite version, that is the one I will wait for.
as a side note, I'll take the Mercedes SLR

for someone who typed so much you know so little.
if you can fit into a gt2 then you can fit into any of those cars. the viper is rather large inside.
your lack of insight on the vette is sad, and the viper is preobally the easist fast car on the street to drive. you can putter around in 6th gear for ever and it has an insane amount of traction on the street. the viper is deadly on a track to those who think they are good drivers when they really arent. GT2's price tag isnt important since the people who will buy it wont bat an eye lash at its cost.
you read way to many magazines

Yeah seriously, the Viper is akin to a Hummer interior space-wise. The older Viper was supposedly really edgy on the track but the new one is a great all-rounder.
