Northern WA meet set-up

Hey guys,

Well, since the NWMaxima Portland meet was a bunch of fun with a nice turnout, let's start thinking about a northern WA meet. I've mentioned it to the B.C. people last fall, and I know there are quite a few Altima guys up that way as well.

So, I was thinking mid-August, only because I'll be gone all of July and that gives us enough time to plan and let everyone know.

Questions for you to cosider:
1) Does August work for you?
2) Do you know of any parks/areas to meet around Bellingham or maybe a little south of that?
3) Do we want to attempt a drive portion of the meet?

Let me know what you think.

Okay there is plenty of interest from nwmaxima and the bc crew here.

The only problem I see is with the parking. The parks have parking, but we'll have to get there in the morning to guarantee that we park together. Maybe a 10am or 11am start time.

I was thinking about using the Bloedel Donovan Park.

Any objections to Sunday Aug. 16th or Sunday Aug. 23nd? Or should we do it on a Saturday this time?

Since I haven't heard any problems with this date, here it is.

Okay, the 23rd of August it will be at Bloedel Donovan Park, Bellingham.

I'll make a new post in a while with the details.

Any further North?

Can this be any further North? How about in Seattle or even Issaquah, it’s more of a center point of Washington than Bellingham. A good place would be Lake Sammamish State Park Address 20606 Southeast 56th st, 98027. Take a look threw mapquest it’s right off the I90.

We just had a southern meet in Portland a couple months ago (April 19th). That is why we are going to have a northern meet. We hope to get some maxima guys from Canada and maybe some Altima guys.

I'm sure we'll have other meets in the Seattle-Tacoma area. This is just the one I'm organizing.

I see, I haven't be on the site that much. I didn't know about the Portland meet, I will see what I can do about joining you guys in Bellingham. Sounds like it would be alot of fun to meet more Maxima owners.
