The beer is good and there is a lot of room to roam around.
I guess I called it on the scenic highway being a zoo. That kind of sucked. I have lived in the Gorge since 94 and that was one of the worst days I have ever seen. I think the more people move into the Portland area, the crazier the Gorge gets on a sunny weekend. Had it been raining or just a bit crummy, there likely would have been 1/4 the amount of people.
Maybe next time we have a meet in Portland, a better plan for a drive can be figured out.
It was great to see everyone and I thought it was an excellent turnout. Thanks to the Washington crew for driving down.
Agreed about the drive, it was crazy trying to park 15 cars to take pics or look around. I do agree about a more organized drive, maybe a different place if we are in Portland again. But the next meet you Oregon guys should drive up north to meet us, maybe in the middle.
Edgefield was a great place. I wish I had more time there to walk around, it looked pretty nice.
