Just saw on the news, GI Joes will be closing all stores, sales starting today. FYI, the company running the liquidation has been known to jack up prices before offering a discount, so all 'deals' may not be just that. They are one of the only places in the area that sell Amsoil on the shelves, and some stores have a decent filter selection. Sucks to see them go.

It does suck to see them go, I have shopped there for as long as I can remember for cars, fishing, shooting and clothes.
I am going to stop in there tomorrow (Saturday) to see if there is much of a deal. Probably not this early in the "liquidation" but I just happened to be headed to Portland again.
Today it was 10% off most stuff except for firearms. Won't be any big deals until the liquidation company comes in, but expect prices to be jacked up before they take a discount back off. I'm going to go and price stuff out I want this weekend, then go back to see what the price is later.

I went Saturday, which was the first day with the liquidation company, I think. The store is in Portland on 82nd, near Johnson Creek. They handed out a flyer at the door saying what the prices were. The normal Joe's employees were there, that's why I am "not sure" about the liquidation.
Damn, it was busy -- nowhere to park and I had to use the handicap permit (my son is disabled).
The best deal was 30 percent off all team stuff. Blazers, Ducks, Beavers, Seahawks, etc. There were about 50 people crowded in that section and a lot of other people wandering around the store. The lines to check out were 30 people long.
I couldn't find anything great and most stuff was either 10 or 20 percent off, which isn't too good, especially since there were no other sales. I might try again in a few weeks if the percentages go up to 50 percent or so.
