what the heck is that sound?!?!

OMG what is that sound coming out of my engine?

I've had my car (bought brand new March of 1999) maintained/serviced in top shape since the purchase and all the sudden in November of 2005, there was the rattle coming from the engine everytime I stop. The noise comes from the drivers side.

The steering wheel does not shake, the noise goes away when I hit the gas pedal. When I am waiting at a red light, there's a rattle noise, often times it gets louder (kinda embarassing too). I've popped the hood, no visible problems.

I love my car, and I don't want to sell it or get ripped off at the dealership. A friend told me its because the weather is cold, um no I dont think so...any suggestions/advice/this happening to you too? Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

Have you checked the 4th gen stickies or posted there? I have a 97 FSM but there were some changes in 99 so it might not be 100%. I'll look and see if there are any troubleshooting steps that would be helpful.
