Benefit for Cancer Children

My co-worker (Jennifer Parsons) has a friend who is participating in a charitable event to raise money towards helping children who suffer from cancer.

He is currently trying to raise money ($300) to donate to the St. Baldrick's fund. I have already donated money towards this, along with my fellow co-workers.

I know that everyone here at NYCM is always looking to help in anyway that they can so even a dollar will go a long way towards him reaching his goal. Here is the original e-mail that was sent.

Thanks in advance to all that view this thread and participate. It's surely for a worthy cause.

Hi all,

My best friend Brad is participating for the second year in a row in a charitable event called St. Baldrick's. Although the concept of the event is funny, the charity it supports is truly a great endeavor.

On St. Patrick's Day, Brad will have his head shaved to benefit children with cancer. St. Baldrick's funds the world's leading childhood cancer research organizations. If you have a moment, take a look at this site http://www.stbaldricks.org/thecause_research.asp - it will tell you more about the organization and all of its great accomplishments.

Brad hopes to raise $300 to contribute to the organization, and he needs as much help as possible. Even contributing a dollar will help him to meet his goal. The more people who can contribute, the easier it will be for Brad to meet, or even exceed his goal.

Brad has put together a website - http://www.bradbonham.com - it tells more about him, and his involvement with this organization and event. Through this page, people can make secure donations, through the St. Baldrick's website in his name.

Please help out in any way you can - as I said, even a dollar will make a difference. Also, if you can, please pass this information on to any friends or family members who you think can help.

Many thanks in advance,

Jen

Send a message via Yahoo to D-Bo

I understand it's a good cause but it is neither local nor maxima related. Ask if it's ok to post in the general max forum or take it to OT
