List of Shops in the NW

I'm putting together a list of some information gleaned from previous post. Going to post up useful shop information for various services, who to use, who to stay away from. If you have any you would like to add, please post it here or PM it to me. thanks.

Audio installers

Credit to Iansw who posted this previously

Best shops in Seattle:
Innovative Audio - Bellevue (Most expensive, but most knowledgable...They do all the high-end Ferrari's/Porche's/etc for local celebrities (Sir-Mix-Alot, Mariners players, Football players, etc) Very expensive, but REALLY high end stuff, and even though the guys there know you don't have the $$$, they're always willing to talk and lend advice. Best installers possibly on the West Coast).

Magnolia Hi-Fi - Roosevelt in U District (NICE display, decent pricing, above average customer service, GREAT installers)

Magnolia Hi-Fi - Lynnwood
(Not so nice display, marginal customer service, awesome installers and knowledge.)

Worst:
Car Toys - Downtown Seattle (horrible customer service, installers are only marginal)

Car Toys - Aurora & 130th - Customer service a little better, HORRIBLE installs (ask ebmorgan about my EQ and Sirrius Radio)

Stereo Warehouse: Prices and brands are both only marginal. The install shop they work with isn't actually part of Stereo Warehouse (even though it's in the same parking lot). Dealing with install issues/warranty work is VERY shady.

People may ask about Car Toys, but I'm not saying they're all bad. Car toys in Bellevue for instance is OK. Not the best or worst.

But I walked into the Downtown one with $1000 cash literally in my hand waiting to buy an alarm. all 3 of their service guys were on the phone at the same time obviously talking to girlfriends/friends. 20 minutes later, one of the guys gets off the phone and says "Can I help you?" I say: "Yes, I want to buy an alarm."

He says: "Oh, I'm only the cell phone guy. You'll have to talk to the other guy over there on the phone about alarms."

Man that place sucks.

Car Toys Aurora - VERY bad and VERY sloppy install work. I've had to re-do everything they've ever installed.

Basically, if you want decent prices and great installs, Magnolia on Roosevelt is the choice.

If you want awesome prices and decent install work, but it on EBay and install it yourself.

For car audio and other stuff also check out Benchmark Motoring in Bellevue. It is by referal only though soooo...

not cheap, but they do amazing amazing things. Usually have a few million dollars worth of high end cars in the show room and shop.
