Passing NJ Inspection.. with tint

Hey guys I live in north jersey and I was wondering if anyone knew of a private inspection facility that will pass me with light tint on the front windows?

A cop in bloomfield told me of a trick he uses where you lower your fronts, and pull the fuse under the hood for the windows because they cannot fail you for having windows that don't go up.. what do u guys think of that?

Really need this inspection though.. please PM me if you dont wanna put the info out there for all to see.. Thanks

first time hearing about that trick but why wouldn't work? Front windows won't roll up and your passing inspection say it been giving you problem on going on or something. Give it a shot and let us know if you pass or not.

lol well if a COP told you it would work then it sounds pretty secure to me...usually private shops that are lenient with inspections will let you fail one thing and then pass you. So as long as nothing else is wrong with your car you may be able to do it privately.

I would just pay the $20 to get the front taken off, and $60 to get it put back on. Its gonna cost you about $100-140 to have it done at a private facility, might as well do it this way. A good tint place can get the front window tint off in about 10 mins with a steam gun.

I did it with my last car.

might seem the cheaper route in terms of cost, but i know some people (myself included) dont wanna have to go through all that.

im due for inspection in march, so let us know what worked out for you tuna

Where did you have it done?

Did you remove the fuse with the windows down?

go to a local place anywhere and just simply ask em if the tints are going to be an issue. if you say you will pay in cash (i paid 80) i would think 3 out of 5 places will let the tints slide. for me they overlooked my loud exhaust too
