I don't know about the hotels yet. It's about an 8 hour drive and plan for NY/New Jersey traffic. I used to go to Clarksburg, which is right next door to Gaithersburg, and it's pretty much taken me 8 hours avg.
Kevin, chime in where you are staying so we can try to reserve rooms at the same place.
My buddy Colin with the 330Ci will be joining us, not with his car though. He will come in my car.
Matt, where are you buddy?

Hey guys,
I move in to school tomorrow, things have been really hectic this week. I plan on caravaning down with you guys though. I don't think I'll be coming back with you guys though. I hope to drive down to Richmond on Saturday night and meet up with a friend for the night. I'll then drive home on Sunday...maybe meeting up with you guys, I dont know.
What is the plan once we get down there?

my plan is to drive down with you guys and get to the hotel. then party all night long while finding some young chicks to bring back to my hotel room.
then wake up and goto car show. maybe bring the chicks along maybe not. have fun at show shake some guys hands call them all kuck fnobs and probably go out for dinner and drinks with some of them. again booze + looking for chicks.
then drive home on sunday.
it would be nice if we could meet up with the NY/NJ guys so we could have a big caravan the whole way down. I don't mind leaving a few hours early to make this happen fwiw. also i got some 2 way radios and i'm sure others have as well. we could whip those out for fun. better then a damn phone call.
oh and fwiw i'd rather not park my car at the same hotel as all the other guys in the area are as it's asking for my **** to get jacked imo.

Well, Kevin said he already found a hotel, so we can base our lodging on that.
My plans are pretty much like yours Matt. I have a cousin and a friend to visit on Saturday night, so I do think we could all meet for lunch on Sunday then head back.
What time do you guys want to leave on Friday? I was really hoping to head out on the road by 7-8 AMish. Basically to be past NJ by rush hour.
P.S. If anyone knows where to get a passenger side axle for a 02 6speed, let me know!

Oh ****, look at that, got the inner cover and timing stuff on already, dayem. You better have done the cooling block modification and upgraded to some better nissan head gaskets and head bolts though or we're gonna have a problem......

If we could leave around 10ish, I know its late, but I have 2 classes (one at 8 and one at 9) that I would like to make, if possible. Since I am in RI, I could meet up with you guys in Providence (if were going 95) or Hartford (if were going 84). If you want to do this, you guys could probably leave Boston around 9.
Let me know what works though.

Also, I'm still undecided if I will be staying Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night, or fri, sat, sun, or possibly fri & sat night. I will decide once my paypal card FINALLY comes and I book my room. HOWVER, I have NO intention of being part of the caravan, for several reasons I'm all set with doing a 7hr roadtrip with multiple cars, I'll see everybody down there. Tourqus, I'm down for splitting a room, my plan was to just hang out in the hotel bar though and brijng back some married 35 y/o business women. And yes, I NEED 3.5 MANIFOLDS

Kevin, I like that hotel a lot. Great location and price. Do they have free parking? Cause there will be no valet touching my car.
Matt, I think meeting in Hartford would work since using 95 to go thru RI is a waste of time. That time is fair.
Guys post up what you think ofthe hotel. I know of a diy car wash booth in the Gaithersburg area so we can detail early Saturday morning.

Zeead, I agree...95 through RI and CT is a big waste of time. Do you want to split a room on Friday night? I really only need to stay for one night. And the diy car wash would be great...as I doubt our cars will stay clean for a 500 mile road trip.

Edit: I remembered you said earlier you are crashing at your friends on Saturday night. I'm also bringing Colin and Dmitriy along and were planning to crash in a room probably at the same hotel as Kevin is staying from Friday to Sunday. I really like the look of that Hyatt. We could meet up on Sunday for lunch then drive back.

Anyone else want to chop a room?

I don't know about the huge caravan. IMO, we are starting from different locations then ending in different locations i.e different hotels, etc.

Kevin, any details on the hotel? That Hyatt in Crystal City is booked for double rooms for the weekend.
