CAR WAS RECOVERED

hey, i called the station up today and they already recovered. i don't know anything about the condition of the car other than the broken window and probably busted ignition.

i'll find out tomorrow when i try to go pick the car up.

just picked it up. it's a mess on the inside, they just tore everything apart. my center console doesnt work at all right now, im guessing the fuses blew out. the ignition is completely torn up and not there. glass everywhere from them breaking the passenger window. and the passenger side fog was broken and dangling, and the bumper in the area was dented in.

chewed all my gum and left the empty pack. ripped up my carvel coupons then left them there. threw my pennies all over the place and took the quarters.

took my GPS and ipod.

Towing expenses - $165
New ignition+plus column area and window -$200
Labor for installation - $75
Passenger Side Fog Light - $30 (off the ORG) who's got one?

and, no insurance against theft, so it's all coming out of my pocket (which is already very empty).

Lesson- Always put the club on, even if it isnt 100% effective, it should be enough. Never park with the front facing out on the driveway, allows for a quicker and easier escape. Install an alarm or anti-theft device.

thanks for all the support guys.

i never had a car stolen from me before, but i can imagine how it feels man.. just that invasion of personal space, and somebody completely disrespecting something that you own... it's even worse for us car enthusiasts as opposed to regular people because we take so much pride in our cars.. and when somebody invades our space and disrespects our cars, we take it 10 times worse.. glad you got it back though

lol.. i know, here the thing seems to be steal somebody's car for the night while they're sleeping... go joyriding, and return it in the morning.. my girlfriends uncle lived in southwest for a while and he said EVERY NIGHT the young thugs would steal his car at night, and in the morning, he would find it low on gas, and trashed with beer bottles and sh*t all over the place... disgusting how people do that kind of stuff.. if i was him, i would plant some sh*t in my car and give them a nasty little surprise

P.S. even if u go to a friends house for 25 minutes, take the extra 25 seconds and put the club on or shift lock

Sorry man, that sucks! The club slows them down about 5 seconds if your lucky! If there good the alarm will not slow them down at all!!!!! Trust me I have been working in a body shop for years, I have seen a lot of stolen cars come in. What you can do is hook up a switch to your fuel pump, or just pull the fuse in bad areas. No matter what they do the car will not run.
