Albany NY Mechanic?

Hey gang,

My wife and I just moved to Albany, and I need to find a good reliable mechanic. The only thing i found after searching the site is a place in middletown, ny, but that might be a bit far.

Thanks,

-Chris

<bump>

Are there no good Nissan mechanics in the Albany, NY area? Maybe even a somewhat reputable dealership? My starter went out. I just moved to Albany. I don't have a place to work on it myself, and its parked it the street so i have to move it before tuesday or i'll get a parking ticket or towed. The only place i know to get parts is DaveB the parts guy in austin where i used to live, and i dont have time to wait for shipped parts.

Any suggestions would be very very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Sorry for the late reply... I just found this.

Lia Nissan is "OK"... They do good work, just watch them on what they think is also wrong with your car, they like to make stuff up. But, they are the best Nissan dealer in the area.

Nemith Nissan is garbage, stay away from Nemith at all cost.

I once got stuck traveling through Albany on a Sunday and needed my car fixed the same day. According to the tow truck, the only place open was Pep Boys. They actually replaced by starter within two hours and the price was fair (not as cheap as an independent guy, but fair). The customer service was top notch and I'd recommend them.
