yo maxfanatic wheres your dad's shop located in brooklyn? Some guy rear ended me yesterday at the corner of atlantic ave and pennsylvania ave. This guy may or may not want to go through insurance depending on the price. I took it to one place and got an estimate of about $1200.

Homermac thanks for the concern about filing it. I got the call this morning from geico that the guy filed with his insurance company. Tomorro I have to take it for an estimate at their claims department on coney island ave in brooklyn. The claims person I spoke to said they will be paying for all repairs since I was rear ended and our stories match perfectly. They also said if I need to rent a car they will cover it too. Hopefully itll be fixed within a few days.

Boy I got screwed over today from Geico. The guy that hit me had geico and they definitely undervalued the damage done to my car. I took my car to get an estimate at a few places and the average amount was 1100$. Geico estimated it at 968$. The main reason was because I had red-clear tails for my max and geico refuses to give me the money to buy another pair cuz I only need one so they gave me the money for a used right hand tail light. Does anyone know if i can do anything about this?

Geicos quotes are just that, estimates. In the end bodyshops have the final say which could raise the price of repairs.

if you're working with a good body shop...they will bug the crap out of Geico to get you the correct $ to fix your car "correctly"...as long as the shop doesn't decide to pocket the $ and skimp on your work.

B&S Auto Collision in Jamaica is pretty good. They are at hillside and queens blvd between queens blvd and jamaica. Pretty expensive but does good work.

finally got my check to get my car fixed from geico and i found this place at the corner of bedford and atlantic ave in brooklyn. They gave me a great deal and showed me some of the cars they are workin on. Im going to be bringin my car in tomorrow to get fixed and have my messed up tints changed and have new ones put on. Plus, I also have money left over to pay for my cefiro headlights I just ordered. The place is called Xquizit motors and theyre a bunch of nice guys so far being they also said they will try and fix the crack on my dashboard and one of my fog lights that dont work. Ill let you guys know how it comes out when I get the max back.
