He is probably referring to the strobe sensors that are on the traffic lights in point look out, these are not cameras but these detect the center strobe light on ambulances, when it senses the strobe, it will turn every light red except the light where the strobe is detected to be heading towards, simpler, the ambulance will always have a green light.

Its nice to know where these cameras are. I really don't worry about them as I never go thru red lights.

u guys know that some of those cameras are "dummy" cameras? I know for sure a few in Brooklyn listed aren't functioning. Ave U and Ocean Ave. is one of them

got caught yesterday me thinks at SI Hylan Blvd/Tysens Lane, for a while it was working or at least i dont think it was cause i havent seen any flashing for the past couple of weeks or so but when i passed it yesterday sure enough it went off..hope i dont get a nicey nice picture in the mail =(

crossbay blvd and sutter has one....i live a couple blocks away from it =( there are like 3 cameras in a row, at pitkin, sutter and jamaica watch out!
