Recommended Window Tinters

Since there's always a thread about where to get your windows tinted and who to go to and what price...i'm going to make a sticky about the tinters in your local area that you recommend.

sooo to keep thing organized and easy to read format let's try to keep it this format...

State/town
tinter's name/business name
tinter's location and/or contact information
prices (optional)
comments - good job...bad job...would go back..etc etc.

observe your local tint laws..and if you have any questions about tint laws in NY ask hubbabubba.

i just got my 6th gen tinting done at this place the day after i bought it, EXCELLENT quality work, and if you find the smallest air bubble, or any problem with the tint at all at any given time, this guy will fix it free or charge. He does good work and has a variety of different tint schemes you can choose from, it's in Corona queens,

They do a great job abd are very professional, I have been dealing with them for years.

edit: they moved to 49D E. Industry Ct., Deer Park
Turn off off of Commack rd. onto Grand. Blvd. and pass the old store, Go 6 blocks and E. Industry Ct. is on your left, they are then 500ft. on the right.

Second that. I had my tints (20% all around) on my 95 Max done here over 2 years ago. I believe they use Llumar and my tints today are still as good as the first day, with no sign of fading, bubbling, peeling, etc. Very good job, with tints up to the edges. Only minor thing was that my rear was done in 2 pieces. But unless I mention it, no one even notices. Ran me $155.

They do excellent work. I have seen many car done by them and all happy customers, including myself. I had all windows done (except windshield) for $220 about 4 years ago and the tint is still in excellent shape. Originally, I did have one window that bubbled up after a week (f-ing dust), but they fixed it for nothing.

$100 for 5 windows (one piece rearwindow); $180 take off old + put on new tint

For the price, can't be beat. HOWEVER, before you leave the place, make sure you are 100% satisfied so you can resolve any issues on the spot to avoid hassles. They claim a lifetime warranty on labor/tint. They tinted my sis' car perfectly. Mine, the tint had a huge scratch and I didn't notice till 3 days later at home. Didn't bother calling/going b/c it's too far away for me, so I can't review their warranty. Apparently they have a computer which cuts the tint ensuring accuracy (confirmed by another member here a long while ago)

Some Info Here

heard from several friends, acquaintences, business owners and others that its the place to go. pricing is a little higher than i've found elsewhere however the lifetime warranty cant be beat (and from what i've heard, you will probably not need it).

I had mixed reviews for this place from orgers, so I went there myself and got 35% tints. The guy is no bs, does what you ask for, but you gotta stand your ground for what you want done. Takes about 90 mins. He does a good job, I am extremely satisfied with his work. Negatives? Cost around 180 (cash or bank check only). But the guy does a fantastic job, the sheets are not precut, but rather he does every window individually to ensure a tight fit. Limited lifetime warranty. No bubbles on my tints yet and its one week old.

I've used them for years, and the owners are personal friends of mine. Price varies from car to car. 1 piece back windows, tint to the top of each door glass. They use Madico films, which I have never seen any discoloration or fading on any of my cars.

Lehigh Valley (Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton) area in Pennsylvania I would recommend cnfx in Catasauqua. The real name of the place is Cars-N-Effects. They have a guy named Paul who does really nice work. Did mine 20% all the way around. PM me if you are in this area and want a website or phone number.

Car Connection, Meriden, CT. Jason Holland does top notch work, with a full warranty, no fading. I had tints fade to a nice purple and they looked horrible. People check him out.

Anyone know of a shop that does gold or beige colored mirror tint. I saw a beige max with it on once and it looked so nice.

This is the place I recommend to members around the NE area. They use a computerized machine to cut the tints. One piece for the back window. Just tell Brian that Ken (black Maxima) from the Maxima club sent you. He will take care of your tint and 3M clear bra needs!
