What I can do:
Gauges (4th gen only)
A little electrical work
RSB
Cone intake
I know it's not much, but i'm getting better. I live on Staten Island in New York City. Hit me up with a PM if you need help
Hey everyone, if you need help with any of the following, I'd be happy to lend a hand...(5th gen only guys! I know nothing about any other generation)
Swapping out tail lights
Installing/Changing fog lights and bulbs
Clear corners
Putting on Rims
Swapping out gauges (provided you have the correct parts)
Swapping out regular headlights for AE ones.
I know, it's not much, but every little bit helps right? And hey I'm FREE so there. I'm in Binghamton, NY. Oh yeah, I'm not a professional or anything, so go to a real mechanic if you want a guarantee or something.

I work as a mechanic part time, so there are a whole host of things that I can do, icluding stereo, box building, most of the common mods, deatiling, and a whole bunch of other things I don't feel like writing.
i am in Derby, CT, I have the use of a garage, and have almost every tool known to man.
I have done over a dozen sets now and I guarantee they will match your inner tails. There are quite a few people riding around with my taillights and I have not heard anyone being unhappy with the job I did.
The process:
-Because it takes 1 hr. + to do the job RIGHT, + taking off and re-installing the taillights, I rather save time and make it more convenient... What I do is take your factory amber/red outer taillights off your car in exchange for already done red/clear taillights + 50$. That would only take up around 10 minutes of your time, for me to take off your stock tails and install the red/clear ones. Instead of you waiting for me to clear them. To make it fair for the next person and keep the cycle moving, I cannot deal with you if your stock tails are cracked or dinged up since I will be later taking your stock taillights and clearing them and use them to do the same thing with the next person. I will install perfect, already cleared taillights in exchange.
I have pictures, I will upload them and post a link. It took me a lot of trials and broken sets to get the tightest fitting template but it's done.
I'm pretty busy with school and work but we can arrange something convenient. I'm in Staten Island, NYC.

Had the following audio/electronic related work done by Don (Pearl96max):

-Amps install, rear crossovers relocated and complete speaker wire install
-Custom front tweeter brackets install
-Front speaker wire install and relocated the crossovers
-Purchased Viper 550ESP and installed by Don (authorized DEI reseller/installer)
I'm extremely satisfied with his work. Rest assured that all work done by Don will be warrantied by him. I'd recommend Don to anyone who's looking to buy anything in car audio, aftermarket alarm, or to customize their system.
I can do the following:
FSTB
RSB
RSTB
Struts and springs. (require spring compressor)
CAI
Pop-Charger
Tranny-Cooler
VB transplant

Oil Change
Tranny Filter change

Aftermarket Gauges (ie Boost, EGT, etc)
Stillen Bodykit install
Brakes Pads
Rotors
Stud replacment
Brake lines

Headlight Taillight swap

Note: I am not a professional mechanic nor do I warranty my work. If something goes wrong or breaks during the install or afterwards, blame only yourself for being cheap. I don't charge $60 an hour but I do ask that you treat me to a nice dinner since I will be cranky from the long hours spent under you car. I highly recommended that you visit a proffesional mechanic for most of these installs.

Good luck.

I highly recommend Don for any Audio/Electronic work that you need done. I purchased and had him install my Viper 550 alarm w/ Remote Starter, and he also installed my entire stereo system. Unfortunately, I met him after I bought everything, but I found out that he offers some great prices on high quality products like JL Audio, Diamond Audio, and much, much more.
If you need any type of work like this done for your car, I suggest contacting Don. He lives in Edison, NJ (New Brunswick area). I live almost 45 minutes from him, and it's well worth the trip. I've been to his place 4 or 5 times now, and I plan on going back in the future, even if I don't have a Maxima anymore.
Cliff's Notes: ditto to what Ange said. Don AKA Pearl96Max =
Later,
-Nick

I can offer my assistance in the car audio department. I do not work for a shop, but I've installed quite a few systems and have a good idea of what I'm doing. Also, I may be able to assist in any mods that I have on my maxima. All of my mods were self-installed. I'm located in lil' Rhode Island.

I'm located in the Eastern part of PA, 5 minutes from the border of jersey. Cities you might know that I live near are Allentwon, 50 minutes north of Philly, of 30 minutes south of the poconos.
What I can install...
not much but if you need to use air tools or anything like that you are more than welcome to come and use the compressor and dozens of air tools I have. I also have jack stands and all that jazz and will provide a heated garage
Please notify me in advance when you would like to come by and do work. If you just show up at my house without notice I will sick my dogs on you unless I'm in a good mood I might let you in
Disclaimer: If you come to my house to use my stuff remember you are my guest and would expect you treat my stuff as it were your own. I am not responsible for any damage you do to your car while you work on it in my garage. Not saying I will blow your car up but if you screw it up dont blame me because you are at my house using my tools.
hey guys, if you need anything (well, almost anything) done to your car and don't wanna pay your mechanic tones of $$$ then come to me. I can do most of the simple and not to simple jobs that you might not know how to do or not have the right tools to do it. here's a partial list of the things I can do
-changing engine fluid (can provide amsoil at dealer price or bring your own)
-changing manual transmission fluid (can provide amsoil at dealer price or bring your own)
-brakes
-ss brake lines
-suspension
-sway bars
-strut bars
-oxygen sensors
-knock sensor
-transmission
-short throw shifter
-rewiring the clear/amber lights (both of them are on at the same. when the turn signal is on, 1) lights are off, off both lenses blink together 2) when lights are on they alternate you can look at my lights before you decide if you want to do this, I think it's a great improvement over the oem setup
-changing axles
everything that is listed here I have done on my car and helped my friends with their cars, I raced my car and everything I have done is track proven (I'm still alive). I have a 2 car garage, air tools ... to do almost any job
you can e-mail "iwannabmw" for a recomendation, Mark and I work on each others cars and I designed a bracket for his by-pass filter on his e-30 325is (bmw)
e-mail - kderman251@hotmail.com for pricing and details if you would like something done, since i don't know what the mechanics charge be honest and tell me what they charge so I can base my pricing from there. one benefit that you can have is watching everything I do, and participate if you so desire, this way you know it's done right, I have a factory manual for all the specs.
My friend and I can basically do anything mechanically related and suspension related on basically any car. We have done turbo kit installs, spring installs, camber kits etc. All quality work at cheap prices. JZee109@aol.com for more info. I'm located in Trumbull, CT.
myself and 2 of my friends are willing to install pretty much anything. PM/IM me if you need something done and i'll let you know. we can take care of pretty much anything on a 3rd gen max or any 240sx.
^^^ MaDMaX024 does good work. Got my suspension installed by him in no time at all and at a good price. Highly recommended if you need something done. Thanks!!

it was a pleasure doing business with you. i'm surprised it only took 3.5 hours considering all the distractions (my MR2 friend with his wiring amusement, stupid phone calls..hahaha) and my usual partner's absence.
did you play with the strut settings yet?
also to my list of capabilities, i now have a MIG welder and access to a garage with air tools, lights, heat(for the winter). whatever you need, just run it by me first!
our policy is 50% of what a shop would charge for labor, maybe less depending on the job. we usually get good deals on parts too so if you're going to pay full price, let me know in advance and i'll see what i can do.
we make exhausts, are in the process of making 2 turbo kits, i've MADE my own coilovers(still untested but kevin can be my witness in saying they're VERY stiff). basically anything imported we can take care of.
