i ran nitrous for a couple of years on my 2000. a 75 shot on your car should be ok. what kit are you looking at? the best thing you can do is read, read, read, and read some more if you wanting to spray. dont just buy and put a kit on your car. there is a lot of info on this site and many other sites that can help you out.
the kit that i used was nitrous express, and i would recommend that kit. i sprayed a 50, 75, and 100 shot when i was spraying. on a 50 shot my car went from 196 hp to 252 hp, and from 198 ftlbs to 274 ftlbs. nice gains for a 50 shot.

A ton of 5th gen guys are spraying.

A 75 shot will be a walk in the park for that motor.

Well after doing some reading, maybe I should just go ahead and do a 100/125 shot instead of the 75. Since it appears that the VQ30 can handle it pretty easily, w/ a tune of course.

So what's the recipe for installing Nitrous?

Nitrous Kit
Bottle Warmer
Wide Band
RPM Window Switch
Purge Kit
Walbro 255

What do I need to tune the car? Retard the timing and what not for my tuner? I want something where I can switch between tunes, such as a flip switch or some sort. So I can have a N/A tune and a Nitrous tune.

Gotta be missing some things I am sure. All the FAQ's links seem to be pointing to the wrong thread/topic.

For a dual tune you can use a Apexi Safc 2. One tune for na and one tune for spray. If you use a wet kit the jets inject the proper amount of fuel though...provided you have adequate fuel, which the walbro 255 should provide. A tune is not a must, but at a 100 shot I would say its a good idea. The other thing to consider is at a 100 shot or above you may want to get bigger nitrous and fuel lines than the ones that come with the kit. I would recommend starting with a 75 shot and go from there. I have a 75 shot, and I am still fighting traction. I would say the order should be as follows: 75 shot, slicks, then upgrade fuel and tune to run 100 shot or above. Just my .02 cents.

Pretty legit setup tight there!
All you need to do is get the timing retarded a couple degress for the 100 shot. You can tune it by using the fuel jets.

I don't plan to drag race the car from a dig at all. Just play with folks on the streets from a roll. I have another car to play on the track with.

Is the Apexi SAFC 2 the only option? Can these cars not have a chip w/ manual switch to flip between tunes, is that even possible? That's something I would much rather have.

I will most likely buy the lines separately anyway, since I hate how most kits give you the same length nitrous and fuel line that injects it into the intake.

Where is the best place to tap into the fuel? I really want a stealth setup. Where do you guys pull the fuel from for your wet kits?

I put a "T" fitting in my rubber fuel line right before the fuel rail on my 5.5 Gen.

Tapping into the fuel line with a "t" fitting is the way to do it.

Still have the slobra?

I tried doing the whole stealth thing but i couldnt really find anywhere to hide the nozzles on my intake without having to buy new lines from the nozzle to the solinoids. So i gave up and just hooked it up anyways.

Ive been spraying a 55 wet on mine for a couple weeks now. Probably going to buy a walbro and a cutout next week for it and put the 100 pills in.
