Alright so I am gonna buy the Dyno Tune wet kit, well I was wondering if it would be easier to buy the 350z/G35 kit or if I should buy the 4&6 cylinder EFI universal kit? I know on the 350/G kit it says it comes with a fuel rail adapter or something for an easy install and I didn't know if that pertained to us or not. I am only going to run a small 55 shot so I was also wondering if I needed to upgrade anything? I don't think I would need to but I was just curious.
if the 350z/g35 fuel rail adapter will work on your car then buy that kit. It will make it easier to install on your car, that way you won't have to cut the fuel line with the universal kit.
I know on my old 4th gen I bought the universal kit. It came with a rail adaptor but its universal as well. Good luck with the kit man, dynotune is the best out there!
I havent had any experience with the kit with the fuel rail adapter but xlcrew and myself installed a universal kit on a buddies car and it wasnt to bad at all. Dynotune is def a nice kit!
Alright thanks guys I guess I will buy the universal kit, I have one more question though, I just got the car tuned like a month ago and it's running about 13.5 A/F across the board, and I have my timing advanced, is there anything I need to change with this to run the 55 shot???
Advanced timing and nitrous= boom lol.. Unadvance your timing to the stock settings or you can retard it a lil if you want and go get the car retuned witht the 55shot.
So I know it's a year later but I figured instead of make another thread I would just bump this one...anyway I'm going to take the plunge and buy the kit and I still don't know which would be better the universal or the 350z/G35 kit. Also another question I have is will this window switch work: http://www.dynotunenitrous.com/store...?idproduct=194
Also have any of you guys used that one??? It looks like it has everything I need, a window switch, WOT activation, and even a gear lockout so I could have it start spraying in 2nd gear instead of 1st...
Last thing...my base timing is advanced so I will go have it un-advanced, I'm only going to be spraying a 75shot so will just the stock timing be ok or should I have it retarded like 1-2 degrees? And will just 1 step colder plugs be sufficient for a 75 shot??? I really have looked and I think the search feature is messed up right now, but any help is greatly appreciated...Thanks.
I ran a 75 shot on stock timing and 1 step colder plugs. You're good to go. The window switch is good, only problem will be finding a suitable tach output signal.

NZERO2 = Nitrogen, N2ZERO = Nitrous, get it right! Let me Google that for you..

Thank you for the response...now the question no one seems to know...should I go with the 350z/G kit or the universal??? How hard is it to install the universal???

I would just get the universal kit, because no one has said that the 350z kit will work yet. All you do is cut your fuel line and install a T fitting where you made the cut. Then you run a line to your fuel solenoid. Done.

Alright, thanks man...also my last question is about the tach signal that was mentioned earlier...am I going to have a problem with this???
I just wanted to second the response about the universal kit. For the 5.5 Gen you just cut the line before the fuel rail and install a "T" fitting. I just installed a universal wet kit from ZEX on my car, and for me being a nitrous newbie installer it was very easy.

I would go with the 350Z/G35 kit. I remember when I bought my first nitrous kit and had to go through with cutting the fuel line. If I knew there was such a thing as a fuel rail adapter available back then I wouldn't have done that. Trust me when I say that the fuel rail adapter will help remedy a lot of potential head-aches.

I believe the 02-03 Maxima and 02-04 Altima share the same ECU/Engine Harness. The biggest problem for the Altima has been finding a suitable tach output signal. I've read some have managed with using the coil-packs output signal. Some have even tapped into where the tach output signal ECU pin would be and have found something. I would ask the guys running around with SAFC2/VAFC2/NEO since those require a tach signal.
