the drop resistor mod makes all shifts(up and down shifts) hard and increases the line pressure. it is ok to do the drop mod at the track but not recommended for everyday use.

a valve body goes in the tranny. it improves shifting vastly for around 400 dollars. i just had mine done at maximumtuning.. stage 3. you dont need it or the cooler unless you plan on running some serious nitrous.
but if you can afford it. why not its a beautiful mod. i ran a 70 shot without either and it didnt cause any problems..

The VB Mod is a compromise between everyday driving and racing.

The drop resistor mod allows you to have FULL line pressure while racing and stock for everyday, thats why I prefer it. Just make sure to put it on a WOT switch so it is never in use for part throttle.

A tranny cooler is also a must, for me anyway and get a B&M they are the best because of the built in by-pass for hot-cold operation, the Hayden doesn't have that feature. Plus they are a much sturdier construction.
