Dallas/Ft Worth DNE Meet 11/14 - 11/15/2009

UPDATE!!!

Sunday's dyno meet has been cancelled due to Cobb Tuning's lack of staff. However it has been rescheduled for next month. This can be good as it gives more time to spread the word for more participation, and gives us more time to work on our cars and get them ready. We will still have our regularly scheduled meet this Saturday, November 14th at Coach's at 5PM...southwest corner of Forest and Abrams.

Greetings Nissan Enthusiasts,

Well, the time has come. Many have requested and your DNE Staff is here to deliver. It's been since June 2003 since DNE has hosted a dyno day and I don't know about you, but I think it's been WAY to long.

This month's meet will be a 2 part meet. First and foremost, we will have our usual DNE Meet dinner on November 14th at Coach's. It's been a while since we've been there, and quite frankly it's been missed. We will enjoy the usual banter between BlueBOB and everyone else, Darrick's random inserts of ghetto-ology, LatinMax's urge to touch anything that moves, and JNCoRacer's need to hate on everyone.

Part 2 will be what everyone's been looking for. The dyno meet will be hosted by Cobb Tuning in Plano. You can eiter find a map on Cobb Tuning's website or use the address below. The actual dyno meet will take place on November 15th (Sunday). The shop is not usually open on Sundays, which means we will have the shop to ourselves! The cost of the dyno will be $45 for 3 pulls on their all wheel drive dyno. Cobb Tuning will also be providing food and drink for the day, so the price is definitely worth it. At this time, we are assuming we'll start the dyno day at 10am till we're all done. We're also going to try to lump a bunch of like cars together to make things smoother Cobb. Also, if you'd like some advice or help about a new part, Cobb has offered to help on that stuff as well. So, if you want to see what kind of increase a new part provides we can work that in as well.

Cobb Tuning's Address
1200 Placid Avenue
Suite 550
Plano, TX 75074
Phone: 214.291.3020

So there are a few points for this meet. Let us know if you can make any part of the meet and if you plan to come to the dyno. If you are coming to the dyno, let us know if you'll just be coming to spectate or if you're going to run on the dyno. If you are going to run, let us know when would be best for you (morning, lunch, afternoon, or all day). This will help us build a schedule of cars to allow us to run as many cars as possible.

If there are any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks!
Your DNE Staff

lol, don't be an *** JNCo... haha

I honestly can't remember what brand of dyno it is. You can call and ask. I do know that it's an AWD dyno. Obviously doesn't mean a thing to a maxima driver, but I think there are only a few brands of AWD dynos. I could be wrong though. Might be on their website.

ok, seriously...

We'll have a few "open" slots for the dyno, so last minute is ok. And I've love to have some HNE folks up. I was at the very first HNE meet!

I'd come put my car on the dyno just for the hell of it but I need tires REAL bad, but I'd much rather spend the money on turbo parts lol. Besides I already know what it puts down so its all good. I may come just to watch and hangout but we will see.

I havn't been around in awhile but would definitely like to dyno. Only prob is supposed to close on a house end of month and dunno if I should be spending the money so I may just come to watch if I can make it out. Do we need to RSVP or can we jump in the day of?

What'd you fix, and wtf you have to do that costs $1200???
Work has been keepin me busy, and freetime been house hunting. I lost the bid on the first one I wanted but the 2nd one I found my offer was accepted now just waiting to close.
I sent u the pic of what I found in my transmission too right? Seems theres always something going on w/ the car
I should sell the dump since I never use it, so I dunno maybe I will.. I need a cat or test pipe though to replace it..

Yes, big purchases prior to a house purchase is bad, but that's BIG purchases... like a car... haha

A $45 dyno should be fine... Plus, it would be good to see an old buddy come out!
