First of all, thanks to everyone that came out to the April meet! What a great meet with a great turnout. Old faces, new faces, and everything in between. Here's to many many more.
So, for this month, we're going to enjoy the outdoors! We're going to the lake!
The meet time will be much earlier than our usual meets. We will meet up at the Bone Daddy's spot (Spring Valley & 75) at 1pm. We will hang there for an hour and leave at 2pm sharp for a little cruise. We will have a few groups cruising to the lake spot. One will hang back and take there time, another will be in charge of stopping off and picking up some food, and the other group.... well, let's just say they may arrive earlier than most.
The cruise will end at Lake Ray Hubbard. For the members that have been around a while, we're headed to the same spot. There will be DNE staff members leading these cruise groups to ensure everyone gets to the right spot.
Thanks to Jeff (aka MrEous aka Jeff) we'll have a grill to use and we'll be accepting small monetary donations (like $5) to buy the food for the cookout. Or, feel free to bring any food and/or supplies you may already have or want to bring. We'll have to take a quick inventory at the Bone Daddy's spot.
Also, just a note, there will be some post meet festivities to celebrate the birthday of our dear President Darrick.
So, let us know if you can make it and we'll add you to the list! Also, check out our Facebook group to see the DNE calendar for this and the remaining meets this year.
Yeah, I tried that this past week, it helps a little, but keep in mind, I have a 1st gen, the least aerodynamic maxima there ever was and ever will be, so that only helps so much, you should see this crap I made outta a wire hanger, a shoestring and some tape, and the very wet use of my sunroof..... it gets 1 wiper moving

Even if I didn't have a family obligation, a 1 PM start time is way too early for me, especially after all the damn rain we've had. I have a ton of details to catch up on-even if it rains tomorrow.

Just an FYI, the meet plans have been changed due to the uncertainty of Texas weather. The meet will be at Coachs like last meet at 5pm. Coach's is on the South West Corner of Forest & Abrams in Dallas behind the CVS. Call my cell if you need directions. 469 835 4654.
Also, if you are not on the DNE mailing list, shoot an email to DallasNissans@gmail.com to be added.
Thanks!

Probably won't be at the June meet either, going to Kentucky. My ex-wife's youngest son (the one who isn't my kid) is graduating from high school. Since his real dad has never had anything to do with him and his former step dad is out of the picture after divorcing his mom, he wants me to attend his graduation. Plus, my kids live up there too. Graduation is June 9th and I am not sure if I will be back in time. However, if this stupid rain doesn't stop, it will be a pretty quick trip...
BTW, I really like Coaches. They seem pretty cool about all our cars being on their lot, didn't even complain about the stereo being on.

Hopefully, Scott will show up the the meet at the lake in June. For myself, I just got back from 2 months of training with the Marine Corps. I sold the Maxima back in the early part of Feb. I now have a Mazda6 I picked up for hardly nothing, and its a nice car, but nothing like the Maxima. The thing I do like about the Mazda is its a 6 Speed.

Ive always liked those mazda6, the 3.0 v6 can be a bit of sleeper... I looked at an 07 and was this close --> l l <--- to buying it... and some how I ended up with a 1st gen max...
