2nd Annual HM "Memorial Day in Memorial Park" BBQ

Guess it's about time to plan this out.

Date: May 24th

Place: Memorial Park (East Memorial Loop between the pool and softball field)

Time: 10-11 AM "Official" Start Time - Whenever

Thinkin' fajitas. Lookin' for volunteers to bring whatever. Haven't decided if I am going to spend the money to reserve a spot. Last year it seems like we would have been fine without it, but if you want to donate for reservations LMK and I'll look into it again.

So it's official. Post if you plan on showing and/or you are willing to bring something. I'll supply the meat, Old Smokey, and some Coronas. Oh yeah... and some SPF1000000 sunblock.

*You can volunteer to bring whatever or if you would just like to be assigned something I'll do that when the date gets closer, just like last time. Or you can bring nothing...

You know I will be there! I am always willing to contribute too towards anything to make it a success. Would like us to encourage the Dallas guys. They are great company! Would be great to have some of them. I attended their last meet. It was great!

Hellz ya I'm in. Better reserve a spot right now. I tried Memorial on last years Oct. meet but you had to reserve way in advance and if memory serves me correctly the fee was around $75. Ended up in Agnes Moffet park. And if you guys are just gonna crash the place, I'm in too

. The best place to crash is where the Road Bikes do their laps. Don't do it on the "joggers" side. That side seems packed all the time. Plenty of parking and I think it's in the shade. Someone do a reconnaissance mission to confirm this. I'm in San Antonio right now and as soon as I get back I'll try to scout the place that I mentioned.

The spot we had last year was pretty nice, although I think we need a different table (with some shade). I reserved it maybe a week before but there wasn't really anyone around us all day.

i just seen the Nissan(240) guys at galveston 4/26/2009 and they had a big turn out there, so if we r having ours in Houston we should have alot of our guys out there

alright, let's do it like this:

if you're coming add to the list. if you'd like to bring something list it, if you want to be assisgned list yourself as open. i.e.:

username - bringing

it's fajitas so we don't need much. plates, chips, drinks, etc. shouldn't cost you more than a few bucks to contribute but even then it's not mandatory.

so... let's get it on:

Not sure if I am going now. my girlfriend reminded me of our camping triping and our cruise out the Hill Country.

I will post when I find out. If I go, i will contribute whatever. I can bring a new canopy I bought for some shade.

You were there? I was in the Altima Coupe. That was what I call a meet. Up in the DC area we could pull off meets like that at the last minute on a saturday night. I may be able to make it out to this one if I get Sunday off again. If not I may make a late appearance.
