let's try this again... next houston maximas meet

the cruise for this weekend is off, so let's plan for the next event.

we kinda jumped straight into a cruise but let's hear some other ideas before we set a date this time.

what do y'all want to do?

I still like the idea of a cruise to Galveston or somewhere else outside Houston...1 1/2 years living here and still never been south of Texas City (and that was for business).

yeah. my main thing was the certified letter i was waiting on to register my car didn't show up in time. the weather was just icing on the cake.

if everyone wants to do a cruise that's what we'll stick with but i just want to see if there are any other ideas.

Next time the weather is nasty and you have an event, just go to Track 21 instead. everyone always has fun there.

yeah... we were talkin about a 2nd annual memorial day in memorial park meet.

it doesn't necessarily have to be the next meet but i'm holding off on setting up anything else until next week at the earliest. from there it makes more sense to me to just wait a few more weeks and do the bbq.

not really sure, i can get vis through 1 of my suppliers i don't use much but the price wasn't great last time i checked. not sure of anyone else that sells em. ebay is really hard to beat on stuff like that cause most of those sellers are distributors. basically you're buying them wholesale direct.

im down for a cruise. galveston would be cool. we can do a photo shoot or something on the seawall. i was in jamaica beach two weeks ago and you can drive on the beach. i as afraid of driving on the beach but the sand is very compact and i drove slow with no issues at all. we can line up the cars there and take some good pics.

also, theres and old 19th century artillery fortification called Fort Travis located on the west side of Bolivar Roads. Its very interesting to say the least and also calls for a pretty nice hang out spot. You can see old bunkers, armories and battery installations next to the ocean. Today they've turned into a park of sorts with tables, barbecue grills and gazebos and such. That would also be a good place to stop. To get there we would all have to hop on the Bolivar Ferry which would also call for some neat photo ops as well.

that does sound pretty neat but i refuse to do the ferry thing. i have never made it onto the ferry without being harrased if the police were out.

huh why do they harass you? i hardly ever see a cop. i drive on, get out of the car hang out next to the rail and enjoy the ocean, when we get there i get back in my car drive off and thats it. simple. besides you'll be with a whole bunch of other people ( hopefully) so why would they single you out? if they harass you then he'll have to harass all of us.
