Houston Raceway Park is less than 3 miles from my house. They hae a 3/8 mile (?) dirt track at the complex as well. It's a popular track that hosts 2 NHRA events each spring and fall.
i've never been to that track but i was told that its a real cool track... my friends and i are planing on going out there next sunday...
i think there is one close to 59 and the beltway on the north side and there is this other popular one in college station.....

how far in advance do you need? it was pretty much a week give or take a couple days. if saturday is no good, we could reschedule, or just have a meet this saturday, and another one later. there's no law against having more than one meet a month or anything.
and what do you guys think about having a meet on a thursday next time? that's pretty much the best day for me as far as the chance of me working.
I'll do Saturday. But even though I suggested 14:30, I now see that time will be impossible for me due to scheduling conflict with LSU-Auburn game. I hate when they mpve a great game to daytime for national network TV. I can come at noon or so and then catch the game at Woodrows in the Galleria area. Anybody who comes with me gets a free round on me. If we do noon to 13:00 or 13:30 or si I'll be there. Either then or later in the evening but I can't miss this game. Discuss.
yall know it would be cool to meet on the top level of the galleria parking..... its usually empty....what yall think?
i don't want yall to change the venue or anything but i have always pictured that place to be a cool place for a cool lil meet and when White Shadow spoke about the galleria area i couldnt help but to mention it ....
when ever i go to the galleria with my girl or with friends we always go to the top level of the covered parking and hang out up there for a while....its real cool if u have a telescope....

exit spur 5 (it's after the cullen exit) and stay on the right. it's the huge lot you see on your right. turn right at the light, and right at the first stop sign. while you're on 5 you'll see it and it should be pretty obvious.
Damn i can't make it...gotta go take care of some stuff for my girl..something to do with the other 4th gen....man i'm mad.... i will be there in spirit and as our meets become more frequent and well planed i am sure we will be gathering that maxima owners wouldnt wanna miss...

Possibly me? I showed up around 12:15 and drove around the lot and waited for a few minutes and nobody was there. I left to go to FedEx and came back around maybe 13:00 or so and drove around a couple of times and didn't see anyone and left. I drive a Pearl White lowered 4th Gen. with 350Z wheels. I noticed one gold 4th Gen. parked near the street across form the rec center but it was there both times I came by and nobody was around it. What do you drive? When were you there? I might have hung around longer but I had to get home to see that travesty of an game between LSU-Auburn. There will be more meets.

yah that might have been you then. i was in a white 6th gen parked a little further back from the 'pack' of cars across from the rec center.
yeah i think i've seen 3 or 4 other white 6th gens on campus. also seen several smoked ones too.
i account for one of them....haha

well i was looking into it because i thought it was a cheaper alternative to the greddy sp2 for our gen. but, it's roughly the same price, if not a tiny bit more expensive. plus from a few threads i've read, it seems like the cattman kit drones a bit, which is a big no-no in my book. so i'm looking at the greddy kit once again.
yeah, i didn't wake up til 2 and i couldn't get there til about 3. i vote the next meet is much later. and also in a smaller lot so people don't need to do laps. i know i'm going to the TC meet this wednesday, as long as i'm not scheduled to work (i won't know for another couple hours)

well guys i am sorry i couldnt make it, i was tryna get a 5spd but the guy ended up selling it top one of his family members in louisiana, i dont know why his had had to die..damnnn... any way he has an autotragic se that i might end up getting.......sucks......i wanted to cry....i am so desperate for a clutch
there's a Taco Cabana meet every wednesday night at 9 (i recommend getting there about that time and not showing up late because cops are going to come and break it up after 10 or so and everyone has to leave the lot) at the taco cabana on westhiemer and wilcrest. a bunch of cars show up. i'm definatly going to show up w/ my maxima. you can look for the beat up black 4th gen w/ some mesh rims. if anyone else shows up, come say hi. if i'm not by my car, i'll have an eye on it, and an eye out for other maximas.
Today at UH there were maxima's coming out of the woodwork, I swear I have never seen so many fourth gens in one place, and not all stockers. Hey eyemfater was that your max coming out of the garage today with no grille, around 2:30.
Old saying if you are being serious, but it was strange I am a senior and have gone there for years and always see a handfull of maximas, but i swear I must have seen at least 20. It was just odd.

haha, yup. all me. and there is not an acual place called "woodwork" btw AscendantMax. lol. it just means people are seeing a bunch more than usual. i keep seeing a white fourth gen w/ clear corners and red clears on the back. who's that?
