I'm live in Katy right off 99, near Katy Mills. I owned a silver 5.5 Gen, I done a couple of mods as you can see in my sig.

I usually go to the meets at Planet Zero, I was not able to make it last time but most of the time I'm there. If I'm not outside I'm inside playing in the arcades. If you guys plan an all maxima meet I'm there, just let me know when.

I also need to start hitting the junkyards and see if I can find a set of z32 calipers front and rear.

For me, the "worst Maxima" is still far superior to the "best Civic" any day of the week. I hate rice.

915MAX, thats cool, i had a lil incedent like that the other day... i hope the guy or his son dont check this forum....lol... i got code for my MAF sensor, so i went to the north side to try to find one in the junkyard, i went to this junkyard and asked for sunroof and tranny, he was real busy so he sent me to the back to look for myself..... i came back up the counter and told him that i had not seen anything that i caould use....i was on my way out the door and there were 3 cars locking me in and they were all busy tryna find who drove the mazda that was blocking everyone ... i was in no hurry so i started looking at the cars he had in the front part of the yard...they were descent cars, i think he was gonna fix them to sell, there was this infinity i30 that i went snoping around in... i wasnt tryna find anything, i was just tryna burn time.... i poped the hood and i saw the MAF sensor sitting there....at first i was gonna just close the hood after looking at it for a while, but then i decided to take it in and see how much he would charge me for it.... i took it off and when in with it with the half part of the air box still on it..... on my way in i realized that no one saw me take it... as soon as i walked in the office i pretended i had just went for it in my car and asked him if he had any of those..... he said "yeh, go out on the fence, there are alot of them hanging there..... i went out looked for a lil while then went back in and told him i dont want the same thing i want the whole intake system... he told me 75 bucks.... i acted suprised.. he told me the MAF sensor alone it 65 bucks and if i like, i can go to the dealer, its $473.... i acted even more suprised...asked him if he opened on saturdays and told him i'll be back on saturday....took the MAF sensor went in my and sqeezed my way out of the parking lot and did just what 915MAX did....... and i was gone...... lol... i was so happy i turned up my radio and acted like i wone the lottery...lol

i know it was wrong but $473 for that lil thing... i dont think so....lol

You suck at salvage yard ethics my friend. We've all been tempted to just help ourselves to a part or two, especially if it's relatively inexpensive or small because we can rationalize it. But you know as well as I do that's just plain wrong. If you develop a good relationship with the owners of the junkyards you go to, they will sometimes let you have something small like a cigarette lighter or a piece of interior trim. They will look for parts that you ask them for and call you first when they get a good vehicle in with stuff you want; at least mine do. I hope that nobody decides to just take your car out of your driveway because it's a POS and it's not really all that expensive and because they can and because they need it. Shame, shame. [/lecture on stealing]

Hey guys. I used to live in Houston, rice village. Moved to Dallas but I still go to Houston often to meet my friends, like once every couple of months.. was there this long weekend as a matter of fact. Hearing stories about 59 and what not brings back memories, lol. Good luck with that lovely Houston traffic guys

Its true

I'm at work and I'm very very bored.. car is in the shop cuz it smelled like a gas station, so there must be a leak somewhere, and I'm super anxious and bored.. hence the posting, lol.

Whoa, you are getting an early start on your swap project, eh? a 1-2 year early start! When you eventually get to it, if I'm still alive, I'll be glad to tell you abotu my experience with teh swap, pitfalls, etc.

yeah I know..it sucks!! but I'm trying to save money for school, support my family... and save up for a house, and starting up my own business... no money to play around...
I figure save the little that i may have left every paycheck to support my habit...and maybe i'll get it soon
By that time, I'm pretty sure more than 80% of the org will have the 3.5 swap... and/or something better will come around... and i'll be sitting around watching all the fast maximas

Hey man, 2 years ago, my transportation consisted of a bus pass! All through school it was the bus, lol. It'll payoff in the end, so save your money now and don't worry, you'll enjoy it all soon enough!

915MAX you are not alone... i dont have any money to play around either, thats why my max is so pittyful right now... and i always think that by the time i get around to do my 3.5 swap and my manual tranny, everyone else will be so far ahead that my mods wont even matter..... but that 3.5 swap is a must for me....dont care when but it just has to happen...

UH main is fine by me. I'm there 6 days out of the week. But I don't know how the campus police will like the idea of us meeting there (ie a large gathering). I think it'll be ok if a handful of us shows up though.

which saturday you guys have in mind? As for where on campus, probably the one off of Spur 5 across from the Campus Recreational Center. It's basically this huge parking lot. There's also this smaller lot near McDonalds that's on campus.

I dont mean to get off the subject, but are there any good drag race tracks out there? Hows the race scene out there?? I'm really looking foward to going out there and seeing Houston. Hopefully, you guys will continue to have meets when I'm out there.

Houston Raceway Park is less than 3 miles from my house. They hae a 3/8 mile (?) dirt track at the complex as well. It's a popular track that hosts 2 NHRA events each spring and fall.
