EuroDriver's '01 (in progress)
I've been slowly doing some work on my '01 GXE (first Maxima I've ever owned). I picked it up as an emergency interim car and decided she's a keeper, so I've been giving her some TLC.
Here's when I'd had her a couple of days (she went in for a new stereo):
Next order of business was some decent wheels (stock Nissan 17's), fresh tint, and an HID retrofit (here's my HID build thread: http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...fit-build.html) also touched up the bumpers:
This week, she got the AE skirt kit, Stillen rear lip, and slightly dressier shoes (MRR GT7,18X8.5's wrapped in Hankook V4's (245/45/18 - tire shop swore they were not going to fit). also swapped out the JDM aftermarket fogs for OEM's with HID bulbs:
Lateral View:
Front Diagonal:
Rear Diag (showing her ricey square exhaust tips-I'm going to pull them out a couple of inches):
Full Frontal (showing off that sexy lip and new stance on a 32 offset):
The wheels filled in much nicer than I thought. I was anticipating a drop would be a must, I'm liking the way it sits. Now it's a toughie - to drop or not to drop...
Waiting to be installed are the AE door sills, and future mod is replace the Kenwood DNX 6180 with the DNX 9990HD (on backorder). Also, it doesn't hace the rear wing on the latest pics because it's at the shop getting refinished. I like the look, so I might have to find a wingless trunk lid.

Trunk wing finally came back from the paint shop (I pulled the exhaust tips out a bit while I was at it):
Now the dilemma: to de-wing or not to de-wing. If I ax the wing, I'm going to de-bagde the whole trunk, Nissan burger and all. What do you all suggest?

De-badged, wingless lid should go on tomorrow. I had the tips welded on and I told them at the shop I wanted them higher, but they said that's where the hanger sits, that's how it is. I'm going to look for a shorter hanger. Other than that, coils should be coming in next week. I should be done after that - might end up divorced if I keep going

I used one in one of my BMW's before, a stainless steel one. It snapped in a little under a year (I put it over the broken rubber hanger). I guess changing it out once a year is really not that bad. Besides, I'm surmising that the muffler on the A33 is much lighter than on a 7 series beemer, so it might actually last much longer. I'm going to do that myself - thanks for the tip!

^ thanks! I got it back already with the de-badged trunk lid. It's going to the stereo shop today for new speakers & amp, and in a week or so, the coilovers should be coming in. More pics coming soon...

Looks good. Once the exhaust is pulled up, it'll flow much better with the rear valence. Also, if you're willing to do it, you could consider switching out your wood trim to something else.

I have been thinking about carbon fiber or brushed metal instead of the wood. Also waiting to find the SE/AE trim at a boneyard but I just really need to stop dumping money into this car! As it is, dreading the moment the wife asks where all the money is going...

A couple more updates...
My long-awaited for de-winged, de-badged trunk lid:
SE cluster with Shinjiduo's warm white led's on faces, royal blued on gearshift indicators:
As I write, she's at the shop getting outfitted with Rockford Fosgate Prime Power Series amp & speakers. I'm really looking forward to this afternoon...

I love the look & feel of these tires! Drop is definitely in the works - I ordered coilovers last week with expected shipping in 5-9 days, but I found out this morning they will be shipping from overseas in a week or two I guess I'm riding like this for another month.

Sitting on Teins
I really like the way it looks, but I did not like the way it rides at all. Can't wait for the coilovers to come in.
I put these on because my brother spotted them at a boneyard, and I figured what the heck - they came on Illumina's but 2 were shot. Hopefully I can sent them in for rebuilding, but I'm still set on the CO's...

I took it to a muffler shop and for $20 they bent the brackets on the muffler.
My BC coilovers finally came in! Cornering is amazingly better. While I was at it, I installed ES sway bar bushings & Moog endlinks. I left her a little higher in the rear, just to avoid clearance/bottoming out issues. I can probably bring it down about another 1/2" or so, but I'm quite content the way it sits now:
And yesterday, I finally finished the AE conversion:
Lots of credit to my bro, MaxxedOutt who has given me a huge hand with many of the projects.
Items remaining on the list are ES torque & subframe bushings (just arrived - I have the MT mounts waiting already) and Injen CAI that's on the way. Then I think I'm done (unless I find a deal I can't refuse on an SC kit)
