Tigersharkdude's 99 picture thread
As of 4-27-13 I will be using this thread to post new mods and pics . This will be my "build" thread
Before I get to my 99, I will show a few pics of what made me get into Maxima's.....my old 96. Had it from March of 05 to August 07. My doctor had changed my medicine and didnt tell me not to take it before driving No pics of the carnage, but take it as...60mph head-on in to a tree
Then I got my 99 in September of 07 (we all know what a stock maxima looks like, not posting a pic)
when I got the car I had the windows tinted 15% the next day. And then a few days after that I had my first set of wheels. Also, salvaged my springs from the gold car and used them on the white car
Around Fall/Winter of 07 I purchased R34 style headlights and faux nismo graphics (let the flaming ensue) I loved the hood stripe, but the sides were meh
Not sure of when, but I purchased some 19" ADR victory wheels from Euromaxima on the big ORG. Also removed the side stripes but left the hood stripe
I then got bit with the mod bug and purchased an Ionic Dynamics lip kit, OE style glass headlights with Acura TL projector retro, OE fogs, and CF mirror shells. Painted the kit satin black to keep my panda them going
Then tragedy struck
I purchased some 04 SL wheels from a local for $200 and wrapped them in Nitto NT-555 tires.
Here is a fairly recent engine bay shot.

I like how far back the projector sits in the housing. It takes away from the bug eyed look some retro fits tend to give some cars. It's more of an OEM look. I know its not the best positioning for optimum output, but its still way better than stock.

Yep still looking great. Love that its painted, I can just take a wrag and wipe it off
you would be surprised at how good the output actually is.

you dont have a day or two you can borrow your parents/someones car while the paint cures? pull the VC off one evening, sand, clean and tape it off. the next morning get up to prime and spray it and let it cure for 24hrs (or you can put it in the oven if your parents wont hang you for having the house smell like paint, let it cool off, and reinstall)
