sold my maxima....heres the new ride!

Hey everybody. A week ago I sold my 1998 QNO Max w/210K on it. It was a fantastic car, I loved it to death. It got me through college without breaking down at all, and I had so many great memories in it. BUT, it was time to move on. I've been looking at Subie WRX's for awhile, and I just bought one last weekend.

It has a ghetto axelback glasspack muffler & chrome tip, so it kinda rumbles, but I'll be replacing that soon. Also has Panasonic fold out DVD HU, and just yesterday I installed my Yakima Rack (gotta haul the mtn. bike here in UT), and a Sound Ordinance 8in powered underseat sub. Sounds great!

Future plans include: RallyArmor UR Mudflaps, RallyArmor skidplate, some sort of catback (turboback eventually, probably Invidia G200 or Cobb), and definitely an AccessPort. I also might have the stock rims powder coated black, but I'm not sure yet.

Enjoy, and thanks to the maxima.org community for being so great! I have always loved this site, and will still be around. I will always be a nissan person at heart.

Downgrade for sure! I hated mine. It was the only car I ever had that I couldn't shift spiritedly for fear of stripping the teeth off the 1st or 2nd gear. My 300ZX took alot of abuse and I sold it to buy WRX and kicked myself for doing it. The mpg sucked, 3 transmissions, and engine replaed twice, so I sold it. "It's what makes a subaru a subaru", lol. Sorry not trying to burst your bubble, just giving a previous owners perspective. I'm also hard on my cars, as they are meant to be driven, so that's why I went back to a nissan Nice Sube though! I've always loved the wagon

Kinda ressurecting this thread....I guess....UPDATE. My subie now is Stage 1 on a Cobb AccessPort with a full 3" SRS Type-RE Catback. My Cobb catted DP is shipping to me right now so I'll be at Stage 2 within the next month. I've also installed a Cobb RSB, SPT Short-Throw shifter, Grimmspeed AOS, Kenwood DDX418 touch screen receiver, RallyArmor Mudflaps, RallyArmor front skidplate, Subaru rear diff protector, and some yellow fog light bulbs . Heres a couple newer-ish pics:

Somedays I kinda miss the maxima....but then I take my rex on a forest service road and partake in some 4-wheel drifting

Subarus are the **** to drive, sadly the 2.5 engines and wrx tranny's are a known weak point. Hence so many die hard subie guys swap in jdm STI drivetrains in.

Thanks for all the positive comments. I like the people here on maxima.org better than the people on nasioc.com (north american subaru impreza owners club). Everybody here is more positive.
Anyway, here are a couple new pics actually, I did some stuff this weekend
Made a DIY Front Lip out of Garage Door Sealer & I plasti-dipped my rims matte black

Due, those rims look sick. And you did it right - good looking rims but keeping decent tires on there to make use of the AWD. So many kids up here throw street only rims/tires on their lowered WRX'es and it's like you dum-dum, you've got AWD, use it right!

Well done.
