Route 66

Long story short I was heading home from Vegas last week and decided to take the scenic route home.

I would have taken a few more but I got the car stuck in a sand wash and it took me until dusk to get it out.
Also got some photos from Hoover Dam showing the new bypass. I may post those a little later.

Very cool pics . Lighting wasn't your friend in all the pics. You have some stones though blocking both lanes to take the pics (traffic must have been pretty much non-existent). Taking good pics is about taking some risk sometimes though.

Yea the fact I used my Droid to capture them I'm sure didn't help either.

RTP X-Drilled on the front and blanks on the rear. They've been good so far. No rust either except on the drivers side front from when the caliper fell off (forgot to tighten the bolts). Keep in mind his leadtime is about a week before he ships.

Yea no real traffic, this was on a Thursday afternoon so the only activity this section of the road was getting was just me and the odd German tourist. Funny really, I always find Germans on 66 and Italians in Vegas.

BTW here's the Hover Dam pics. I guess we got there just after all the Mike O'Callaghan – Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge festivities. There was still a bunch of news trucks all over the place in "No Parking! Violators will be blown up!" spots. No they really didn't say that but you do know your vehicle would meet it's end up there if you parked there.

I thought I took more but I guess I didn't. What was really astounding was how busy the Dam was on a Thursday. But that may have been due to the festivities earlier in the day.
