Never understood why ppl post pics of stock cars. We all know what vettes look like, and the pictures suck...

Modify it, make it unique, take some actually decent pictures, then make another thread and hopefully it won't suck donkey **** like this one does.

Thanks...GT-R would have been really sweet...but I was looking for a convertible sports car when I was shopping. There are definitely some decent deals out there on GT-R's now....

Nice Vette. A friend I work with has an '05(?), it's the same body-style but it has the LS2 not the LS3...dont quote me on that tho. All I know it's pretty F'in fast. He did intake/headers/full exhaust and with a tune he dyno'ed 406WHP.

Thanks. LS2 or LS3, these C6's are monsters. Power is available at any speed, any gear, anytime. Torque is a great thing

I'm pretty sure the C6 comes base with a LS3 and started in 06. The 05 would be a LS2/C5 and still quite fast, but the C6 is just better in absolutely every way, especially with the Z51 package. Base C6 > C5 Z06 (LS6)

Again, nice car I hope you have a cam and some long tubes waiting for that warranty to run out!

The 05 is a LS2 C6, 04 is a LS1 C5
The LS3 C6 came out in 08

And C5Z > LS2 C6

I agree on the C5Z > LS2, I was obviously referring the LS3 having assumed the 06+ C6's were all LS3. Thanks for the correction.

The C5Z vs. LS2 C6 is debatable. Its a drivers race with the edge going to the C5Z.
C5Z vs. LS3 is also a drivers race but the edge going to the LS3 C6.

There is a lot of overlap in times between the stock C5Z, C6 LS2, and C6 LS3. The Vette really is a driver dependent/launch dependent car.

Sparks, yea I have a set of Long tubes, BBK intake, and a Corsa Exhaust waiting to go on. I cant wait any longer to get the whole combo on....i learned never to buy stuff and them let it just sit in the garage. It drives you crazy. The BBK intake I bought was honestly a 5 minute job to put on/off so I just put it on already

Thanks again for the compliments everyone.

Should get a tune too. Tune does wonders for the LS3 motors

Yea, Im going to get the infamous Chuck Cow tune. You should too if your in NY....

You'd get more bang for the buck than I will since I have a 6-speed and yours is an A6. Chuck can tune your A6. I heard it does WONDERS for the A6....

Yeah, originally I was going to get the Chuck CoW tune too but went with Vector Motorsports instead. Able to keep my stock tune handy in case I need to go for warranty work, plus they have done about 450 G8s. It's amazing how much torque management GM puts into these cars!
