Another Maxima Gone

This morning I was heading to school. Traffic is always bad on the highway.. I was on the far left lane and it was stop and go traffic.. I was going around 50mph then the cars in front of me were stopping so I hit the brakes and was going around 20mph and I look back and see this truck (F150) speeding up trying to chance lanes. He should have made it but I guess he timed it wrong and BAM!
I'll let the pictures do the talking.. I was fine when it happend, had the seatbelt on, called 911 when I got out the car and they hung up after I told them I had been in an accident, then went to help the other driver out. His airbags deployed and he was somewhat hurt. Three minutes later, the ambulance came and helped us and took his blood presure because he wasn't feeling too well. I called my brother and he got there as soon as he could. Cop came, wrote a report, gave him a citation. Both our cars got towed. Now my neck is starting to get sore, just put a heat pack on there, will see how things go from here.
Anyways here are the pictures

That sucks man. Get your neck checked out soon, before it turns in to a major problem down the road.

Best of luck to you in this situation.

glad you're ok. At least we know our Maximas can take a hit. Yeah, def get checked out, pain MIGHT set in after a week.

I think its gonna be a TOTAL. Those rear quarter panels are expensive. Might be able to cut rear section of donor car and have it replace your rear section. Depends on the shop.

People who do those **** lane changes are just a danger though, in the morning going downtown theres this douche in a tiburon who always guns it in the right lane that ends and cuts people off in stop n go traffic to get ahead, the light caught him today and he almost nailed someone

but yeah, i would say that Max is a writeoff. Sexy rims though

well dude, your young and you'll bounce back. i've been involved in a few of those, ( ive been in like 7 accidents ) and you'll want to see a chiropractor. depending on the state laws, you probably have several months to a year to make a liability claim and there's probably a monetary limit on how much your covered for. i think your good because its not your fault so go asap and get checked out. get a good lawyer and you might be able to get one of these...http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...rdm=1254223204

thanks for all the comments, compliments, advice, and concerns!

this morning the adjuster called saying the total came out to be 7500 and they might repair it (the price was just looking at it, and said they usually find hidden damage after they start working on it)

then in the afternoon, they called and said its totalled.. and we asked if we could get the rims and stuff out of there and they said it was fine because they were releasing it today.. so we went there got the rims out, hid fogs, strut bar, parking lights, and some minor stuff.. (i took the subs out on the highway where the accident happened lol (only one of the subs is a little damaged), and i took the intake out yesterday so only thing i'm losing is the time i spent on it and my exhaust and springs..

tomorrow i'm planning on visiting a doctor, neck still hurts a little.. i can turn it and everything but its a little painful to do so.. as you guys suggested, i'll take every precaution..

as for my next car, im most likely going to get another 5.5 gen (would look for 6spd but they're hard to come by and i would have to probably drive or fly out of my way to pick one up).. but this time i'm looking for leather interior and all other goodies if I can get a real good deal on a 03-07 honda accord coupe v6 then i might jump on it! ive always wanted one but they were too expensive..

not doing a part out, and the rims will go to my next car
