Nothing terribly exciting, but might as well post.....this is down at Cape Hatteras (NC), just doing some cruising since I got tired of sitting on the beach and would rather drive on it.....
i would rather drive on the beach too. i hate getting sand in my feet...
I don't think your Z would get past the entry road (nor would my WRX, for that matter).
Even with the T4R's great ground clearance, I was still scraping the front skid and gas tank skidplate through the sand in some of the deeper areas farther from the water.
I did see a jacked-up yukon pulling out a stuck Explorer who got into some stuff deeper than it could handle
I wish our family had gotten the 4wd 4runner instead of the 2wd we have. I have gotten it stuck on pismo beach in socal, but was able to wriggle my way out(blowing a crapload of sand around and looking like an idiot in the process)

Nice. Looks fun. I love drivng on the beaches down here in Florida. But I have to take my Tahoe. The Maxima doesn't like it......

Nice shots Josh. How low did you have to drop the tire pressure to? Sand looks pretty compacted probably wasn't too big of an issue.
When I drive on to the beach in DE there are times when tire pressure around 10 lbs is needed!
well, in those shots it's down by the shoreline not long after the tide had gone out, so it wasn't too deep. I was down around 20-22psi out there, but in some parts of the beach the sand was deep enough that in untracked areas I was pushing sand with the front skid. I didn't stop to take pics because I didn't want to get stuck (truck still has the stock A/T tires on it and they're really not a very good tread for loose sand, plus they're below 1/2 tread).
Getting stuck would have been embarassing out there, lol...though honestly the truck had no problem anyplace and I really had nothing to worry about...
Last year I was running just a bit below full pressure (around 30psi) when I was out on the beaches, but it had rained alot and was very firm then...This year, a week of no rain, the sand was really loose and dry.
